I would take a Kevin Love on this team.
Fran has offered and he seems to have a decent eye.
Best case scenario: Niang brings along his teammate, Nerlens Noel, who is one of the best center prospects to come along for awhile. Noel is a 6-10 soph.
You would take a consensus first-team All-American as a freshman? That's bold. I'm not sure I would. Seems like a reach.
I know some folks weren't super happy about Niang after the video that was posted of him dunking. He appeared to not have a lot of hops, but you don't always have to jump out the gym to be a very good college player.
Look no further than Fizer. He couldn't jump that well and wasn't super fast, but was fluid and quick to turn.
I witnessed Fizer's heals hitting the back of the backboard after ducking so he didn't crack his skull on it. Have to disagree both on his ups and speed.I know some folks weren't super happy about Niang after the video that was posted of him dunking. His heels hitting the back of the backboard? I have no idea how a player would even get in this position.

Well Fizer didn't show this great leaping ability in games then. As I said, he as a very fluid player, but he didn't seem to have a lot of hops. I've always thought, that's part of the reason why he flopped at the next level. Anyway, my point about Niang is that he doesn't necessarily need to jump out of the gym to be very good, which is what some people were upset about.
