FX to air College Football starting in 2011

FX will broadcast at least 13 games from the Big 12, Pac 12, and CUSA starting this fall.

FX will be selecting the top 2nd teir game from the Pac 12 and Big 12 and occasionally top game in the CUSA. This is good news for the Big 12 as FX is a national HD network instead of the regional FSN. Hopefully they continue to grow and broadcast more games in the future. It also takes games off FCS (Thank God).

More college football to watch is always a good thing.

So what are we looking at with the Big 12 and TV options? ABC has a 2:30 game and sometimes a primetime game. Fox Sports has 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. kicks. Now FX will have some Big 12 games.

With only five Big 12 games each Saturday and ISU playing all the big boys in the conference, we should hopefully be on TV regularly

There were 5 TV spots for 6 conference games before. Now there are 5 TV spots for 5 conference games.

ABC/ESPN gets first pick and can get as many games as they want. Usually 1 or 2 games, occasionally 3. FX will pick the best Big 12 and Pac 12 game not chosen by ABC/ESPN. The rest of the games are on FSN. Any games not picked by FSN will fall to the new B12N, the Bevo Network, or the Sooner Network (If they choose to have a network. They might still join the B12N)

Beebe has said he wants every Big 12 football game on TV and he'll probably get it.

Edit: We'll also see more games on Thursday/Friday and spreading out the non-conference games throughout the season to get more exposure.
