No, but I loved it when Marty tried to imply that he was in a dead end job because nobody can win at ISU, and Fred had to remind him that we have won 2 big 12 championships and were one game out of winning the big 8 when he was a player.

Marty didn't imply that at all. He said that some people may believe that, but he was here to watch 2 Big 12 Championships, and he knows that coaches can win big here. He just gave Fred a chance to respond to that sort of thing.

I'm no Marty fan, but Marty was almost drinking the Kool-Aid in this interview.

Maybe I'm missing some background, but it seemed like a good and fair interview. And Fred just keeps getting better at everything.

I thought the interview was fair....some just like to hear things that aren't there.

Fred responded perfect, but if you don't think by him saying that "some people may think that" wasn't him implying that, then I guess I took it different.

I have never listened to Marty before, but he was a bit condesending.

Often, somebody saying that would be implying that. That's where I think Marty was careful not to say it was him by stating that he's been here to watch ISU win 2 Big 12 championships, and also to point out that he has seen much worse programs (UMass) turn thing around.

I thought that Marty made it clear it wasn't his opinion that ISU couldn't win. Either way, I'm sure both of us think we can. Fred thinks so even more clearly, so we're all right.

I thought it was a good interview and it seemed Marty was careful to be positive while still bringing up some touchy subjects for Fred to address if only to give Fred the opportunity to get his message out.
I am not a fan of Marty's show and will not listen on a daily basis but i will listen every time he has ISU related guests.

It was better than normal for Marty -- still a typical double interview. First he interviews himself and then asks the other person to confirm that he's right.

Fred just says all the right things. Too damn excited about this upcoming season.

Fred could make getting kicked in the nuts sound enjoyable. Hearing his interviews makes me more and more optimistic for the season and the future of Iowa State basketball.

Marty's problem with interviews is that he starts to ask a question and then rambles on for two minutes so that the question becomes unclear. I know that he likes to hear himself talk but he would be a better interviewer if he would just ask the question and stop there.
