Why do so many people refer to Independence Day as simply "the 4th of July"?

In any case, I'm pumped for the 1st monday in September weekend when football will be in full swing!

I'm sporting my cardinal, white and blue cyclone gear down here in Siesta Key, getting ready to hit the beach and watch the boat races.

Happy 4th Cyclone nation.

Thanks to all of those misfits, malcontents and dissidents who made today possible. Enjoy your freedom and thanks to those around the world protecting it.

Where they love the governor
Knocked out the Baytown Bud Heat Wave 5 Miler (and yes, there was beer afterwards!) this morning. Ready to enjoy some burgers and brats, then go out to the festivities in town!

They (the fireworks) were on par with past displays. This year, parked up in the "S" lots and traffic out was a NIGHTMARE. Parked in S7 and it took nearly an hour to get clear of the lot. It CAN"T be that bad for ISU games, what gives?
