He should have served at least a game suspension. Messing with cops is crossing a line and shows a big lack of respect. But, as exhibited by some posters in this thread, I guess it comes down to do whatever it takes.

Lattimer: Stay out of trouble ... please.

Don't worry. South Carolina's QB Garcia is coming off his 5th suspension--Here's Spurrier..

Garcia was arrested twice his first six weeks on campus and was suspended that spring. Garcia was ticketed for underage drinking in March 2008 and was again suspended until just before that year's fall practice began. Garcia's fourth suspension was handed down by Spurrier this past March, docking his starting quarterback a week of spring ball for a undisclosed transgression during South Carolina's stay in Atlanta at the Chick-fil-A Bowl last December.

Upon his return, Garcia pledged things would improve and said upon his return, "Nothing bad is going to happen again - that's guaranteed."
Less than two weeks later, Garcia was in trouble and again suspended.

So what's the score now?

ISU Coaches - X
Pitchfork crowd - Zero

Exactly! The pitchfork crowd continues their perfect streak of always being wrong about the punishment players will receive. Coaches (and those of us who post on here who actually pay attention to past punishments instead of freaking out everytime someone gets in trouble) make the right call once again, and the whiny old church ladies are wrong as usual.

I guess there are certain people eating a lot of crow after this announcement.

Nope, they'll be back here come next arrest, saying stupid things like:

"He done" - One poster in particular says that anytime a player gets in trouble for anything greater than a parking ticket, and he has been wrong 100% of the time.

WOW. There is a pattern to this guy.

"Lattimer was already on probation for felony battery. In 2009, he and another student at Hutchinson CC attacked another student. "Witnesses said he was struck 10 to 25 times and they body slammed him a couple of times," Pickard said. "He sustained a broken jaw in two places." "

Old news there, that had nothing to due with his eligibility on the Iowa State football team, because he started here with a clean slate. Plus what's the problem with a little 'Roid Rage.

OK, so since he was on probation, if this act was so serious, then wouldn't you think he would have been in more trouble with than law than he was?
