Yeah, definitely. It has to make sense.

Exactly. Expanding just to expand doesn't give the Big XII any more stability then it has right now. It also puts any offer out there to BYU or Notre Dame on the fast track. With the possible addition of teams to the Big XII if either of those schools would be considering joining then we would need an answer sooner rather then later. If ND would even be considering a potential move to join then they may have a particular school they would like to see the Big XII reel in from the Big East.

I do like the idea that the 3 conferences everyone is looking at as being marked for death by raids by the greedy bastards in the SEC & Big Ten working together to make sure that any such moves would be completely blocked or at the very least made as difficult as possible and as costly as possible.

Hopefully it was more of a negotiation from a Big XII perspective. We don't want the crap that is left over... we need to be aggressive and get the teams that we want.

I'd assume geography rather than crapitude would be the driver of possible new Big XII teams.

For fun, who would these leftovers be?

From now on, any Big 12 school leaving has to find a decent replacment behind them or they cannot go....

This makes sense with the 3 conference commissioners meeting.

Assuming ND remains indy: A&M and West Virginia to SEC, Louisville and TCU to B12 (with BYU), remaining 18 to ACC/BE. B12 doesn't want TCU but there has got to be some give and take to ward off the SEC, P12 and B10.

Trade USF for TCU. Im sure neither conference wants another school in a state they already have more htan one team in.

The HS highlights would probably be restricted to signed recruits only.
