I'll take Nebraska to win the Big Ten. I think they're definitely the most talented team in that league, but their problem will be that they're playing all new teams this year. I'll bet they lose one or two that they shouldn't, but still take their division and the championship game.

Iowa State ends the regular season 7-5 with wins over Iowa and Texas.

If that happens I would like to think our record would be better then 5-7. Putting pressure on the quarterback would of made last years team so much better

Wisconsin is going to run the table in the Big 10. Great offensive line, great RB's, and the final piece was added with Russell Wilson. Wisky will have something they haven't had in recent years... A QB that is a legit threat not only with his arm but with his feet as well.

1. Boise State will lose a MWC game.
2. The SEC's grip on the National Championship will relent.
3. Oklahoma will win the National Championship.
4. Florida State will win the ACC, but will drop significantly (more than 5 ranking spots) from their current perch of #6. To flesh this out a little more, I see Virginia Tech being the class of the ACC all season, but FSU stumbling early, and knocking off VA Tech in the CGC.
5. West Virginia will finish the season in the Top 10, and Holgorsen will be Coach of the Year.
6. Joe Pa will not retire.
7. Nebraska will win their division, but get beat by Wisconsin both during their trip to Madison, and in the the Big 10 championship.
8. Neither of last year's BCS Championship contestants will play in a BCS game this year.
9. Landry Jones will win the Heisman. Other finalists: Andrew Luck, Geno Smith (explodes in Holgorsen's offense), Trent Richardson, LaMichael James.
10. ACC winner: Florida State; Big East winner: West Virginia; Big 12 winner: Oklahoma; Big 10 winner: Wisconsin; Pac-12 winner: Stanford; SEC winner: Bama.

National Title: Oklahoma v. Stanford.

ISU predictions:
1. ISU will go 6-6.
2. The Cyclones will beat Texas in consecutive years.
3. The Cyclones will win one of the following road games: Texas Tech, Baylor and Missouri.
4. More than one offensive touchdown will be scored against Iowa.
5. Shontrelle Johnson will have over 1,000 yard rushing.
6. Jake Knott will be 1st team Big 12 LB.
7. Darius Reynolds will have over 40 receptions and 7 TDs.
8. Steele Jantz will throw for 2200 yards, 20 TDs, 10 INTs, and just under 60% on his completions.
9. The number of defensive TDs will increase this year.
10. Leonard Johnson will score one of those defensive TDs.

Predictions for the upcoming season:

1. More major university programs will get in some sort of trouble with the NCAA.
2. People will *****, moan, cry and whine about the BCS.
3. Some mid major will run the table and expect to be treated like the BCS schools even though they play an awful schedule.
4. The Big Ten will lose a ton of bowl games, idiot Big Ten fans will still beat there chest over the archaic thought that playing bowl games on New Years Day still means something.
5. We will be told that the SEC is the greatest conference in the country at least 15 times a day from now through the middle of January.

Leadpipe lock prediction for the upcoming season:

During at least one tailgating event I will forget that I'm no longer in college and can't drink like I used to, I will then be entirely too hammered in the midst of other people and will feel like an ******* for the following week.

I suppose Michigan State does have a much easier road, but they're really the only ones I see passing Nebraska. I don't think it's too farfetched to think they could lose to Nebraska and Wisconsin, which would give Nebraska a two game cushion to still win the division.

Sooners win by 30+......only game that gets out of hand. ISU wins 7 games, Steele is big 12 newcomer of the year. Andrew Luck has already won the Heisman. USC wins the PAC-12, but can't go to a bowl game! OSU wins the big 12 and plays Bama in the National Championship.........Boone Pickens buys every ticket to the game and fills the stadium with Cowboy fans.

A&M leaves for SEC as other schools, creating the first 16 team conference. Schools get together over the winter and decide to create 4-18 divisions, each conference alligning with a major network (CBS, FOX, ABC/ESPN, and NBC) and creating their own networks. Puts an end to all the moving around.

To put it in perspective. Last year we had only 11 sacks. That ranked 117 out of 119. If we double our sacks, that would still only put us around 80th in terms of sacks. Still not that great.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Iowa with a better conference record than Nebraska. I think Nebraska beats Iowa in Lincoln but Iowa doesn't have to play Wisconsin or Ohio State. Instead Iowa gets Purdue and Indiana. I think Nebraska loses both of those games so right there SHOULD BE (who knows?) a 2 game lead for Iowa.

To put it in perspective, last year we almost went bowling with that anemic pass rush. If we double that productivity, we vastly improve our defense. That tends to lead to winning seasons.

Schedule Erik. Schedule. It's not as simple as improving in 1 thing automatically leads to more victories.

It was Richardson or Landry for me

Nope. Just outside the top 25.

I'm banking on some players being suspended against Oregon for the fight. If that doesn't happen than I'm sure to be wrong. But if they lose that first game, I could see them losing 4 to 5 very easily and being just outside the top 25. Games against Oregon, @Miss St, @West Virginia, Florida, @Bama, Arkansas. That's tough. I will admit it was a big shot in the dark
