as freshmen. According to CPR.

Daniels must be one hell of an athlete to play right away as a WR when he hasn't played the position before. I love what that kid can be for us.

Or just shows how really pathetic the guys we had at WR actually were. Im hoping it is because he was above and beyond, but probably a combination of those factors.

While there is probably some truth to what you said, it's still VERY impressive for a guy who was a QB 4 weeks ago, to come in and play right away as a WR.

I hear Daniels is the only mortal man capable of outwitting Lattimer.

You don't see the field as a true freshman anywhere unless you have legitimate talent. Don't be such a pessimist.

I think if Donnie Jennert were still eligible, Daniels would not be seeing any time. With Jennert out, Daniels becomes the only big target at WR.

There has not been much doubt that Daniels had the physical ability to play somewhere else if QB did not work out. But he wanted a shot at that first. Apparently Barnett and Sam Richardson were that good that he consented to change positions.

As far as his switch to WR, he might have played some in the past. I had heard the only reason he played QB in HS is that they really didn't have another option with his physical abilities. And I also think that his rapid success is due to his knowledge of the game and his intelligence to quickly pick up the system as a WR. Daniels certainly seems to be a physical athlete. And I remember Darius Darks actually having his best season as a freshman so I am cautiously optimistic concerning Daniels. He certainly has good size.

I would say Brooks injury has a lot to do with Brackens too, but all three I heard have stood out all summer....

Daniels looked a lot better than a freshman learning a new position at the scrimmage. Sure there's a learning curve for him, but I don't think we've ever had a receiver with his combination of size and speed since maybe Ike Harris in the early 70's. We have every reason to be real excited about his future.

I'm excited about the future of these guys.

Imagine in 2 years, having larger, outside the hashes- type (or over the middle) receivers, plus some of these smaller fast slot-types. Pair those with a Herman QB...

Agreed. The last few years we have just thrown out a few of the same guys over and over.. hoping to do better. If Daniels, Bundrage, West, and Horne can come in and start making plays.... that has to make you excited.

We knew we needed some new talent at WR.. and it looks like we might have it! Its been a long wait!

Is it a given that Jevohn Miller will play or will he possibly redshirt?

Way up there
Love to see some guys coming in at WR making an impact, we haven't had a playmaker at that spot for a few years. The coaching staff obviously sees that these kids can have an impact. IMO the WR spot was the easiest place for a new guy to make some noise, lets hope these 2 make a difference. I'm also excited to see what Brackins can do, next year the DB's are a huge question mark, it'll be nice for him to get some experience.
