To summarize: "Blah blah blah. Texas A&M Leaving. Blah blah blah. Dan Beebe working hard for conference. Blah blah blah. MU committed to keeping Big 12 strong. Blah blah blah. But if anyone wants us, we are a member of the AAU (looking at you Big10), we have have 5.7 million residents, and overall we rock."

Can they be more obvious??

Slive is stalling. He is trying to lock up the 14th team and has not done it yet so they can get a redo on the SEC contract. TAM is still out in the dark. There may be more thasn one vote. The first vote is how many memebers are needed? 13? 14? If we reach that level, then TAM gets 9 votes. This could get more interesting. It may not be as done as is broadcast. If it was such a done deal, something would be happening by Friday.

Tam is hoping it is the right type of movement.

I'll be ****** if the SEC takes a week or more to decide on the application. Every extra day makes the Big XII weaker if we wait to bring in a replacement team. Every extra day is another day for Mizzou and Oklahoma to get whispered sweet nothings by other conferences.

A&M wanted out, let 'em out. Don't allow them to bring down the whole conference in the process.

What did Ames AD post?

"“It is unfortunate that Texas A&M is moving forward with plans to depart the Big 12. They have been highly competitive in the conference and represented our league well on the national stage. Although our preference is for them to stay in the Big 12, we wish them well in the future and respect their decision. The Commissioner, Presidents and Directors of Athletics are poised to move quickly and aggressively in studying alternatives for the conference.â€￾

That is probbaly the SEC plan. String it out and wreck the Big 12. All they want is Mizzou over VT. Tam is just infatuated enough to fall for the bait.

According to Chip, the SEC does not want to be responsible for the demise of the Big 12 so they will stay away from Mizzou.

I believe them, if you can't trust the SEC, who can you trust?:jimlad:

Well someone will eventually cause that demise and I am going to guess its Larry Scott.

If Mizzou goes, the Big 12 dies. At that point, I have no doubt that OU convinces Texas to go to the PAC 16 with them.

I think the Big 12 as a whole needs to land BYU ASAP. Don't wait for the Aggies to get accepted into the SEC.
