Note, too, that there's sentiment growing within OU's admin for Pac-12. It's very real, like it was last summer.

Boren: Decision about Big 12 could come as early as Mon, no later than mid-Sept. This will move "swiftly," as Stoops said.

oh and Boren mentioned his plane getting tracked! lol that was landthieves! haha

Well, regardless of the decision, looks like we won't have to wait too much longer to find out.

I believe the MU, KU, OU & Okie State to the Pac 12 rumor has legs.

Rumblings out of Columbia about this all day.

That is why you make a contract with the remaining Big XII teams to not do this **** again. It will be the only way to create stability and attract new members.

Well... Tell them to quit it.

I still think that if the Big XII blows up our safest bet (for the short to medium term) is if the PAC 16 happens w/ Texas going along with OU, OSU and TT. That would likely trigger Mizzou to the SEC as they would jump at the opportunity to round out their uneven conference with a solid team/ new state. I don't think the Big Ten jumps.... they'd see if the whole 16 team thing works out. That would allow Iowa State to try and band with KU and KSU and head to the Big East. I know it's not the strongest conference, yadda yadda but it looks like the best post Big XII scenario yet. The ACC, B1G and Big East at 12, SEC at 14 and the Pac-monster at 16. We'll see how long that lasts. I think worse case would be Texas going indy and KU replacing them in the PAC-16. We're better off as a package together with KU and KState than with just KSU.

So if they leave for the Pac what does the Big Ten do? Just stay at twelve or add four more teams to get to 16 team super conference. I know The big Ten is a wet dream what if Mizzou does go to Pac 12 does that make any difference for ISU to maybe get an invite to The Big Ten? Or at least apply.

Are we staring down the MWC, MAC, or Conference USA? I hope not The Big East would be better, but that conference will get picked as well. At least we find out hopefully next monday or middle of the week.

Boren also admitted that OU did not release a statement on A&M's departure from the Big 12 Conference because they wanted 2 explore options.

There's no way to know at this point...it all hinges on OU and if their president's comments are any indication, i'm not overly optimistic . I'm just going to hope for the best, expect the worst, and be glad when this is over next week.

MAC and CUSA are stupid ideas invented by the media. They will 100%, unequivocally, NEVER in my lifetime ever happen. MWC is a small outside chance, but if right now I think it is 75% Big 12, 24% Big East, 1% MWC. -1000000% any other conference
