I guess I don't understand your point. We both agree pollard is working hard for ISU. But you want to blame him if we don't get asked by the "halves?" Because our lack of historic success and small population is his fault?

No, I'm not going to blame him at all. That's my point, he can only do so much. I think the people who believe JP is saving us right now are the ones who will blame him if **** hits the fan.

Just wondering... Why would the powers that run the BCS (the AQ conferences) leave what they set up to creat a playoff when they have been VERY resistant to doing it now. The BCS is not a NCAA thing. We could have a playoff now if the power conferences wanted it.

The amount of money that can be made is astounding and its just now being realized. None of this was realized until the B1G created the BTN. Alcohol and Beer advertising alone would create a monsoon of money. Previously the "academic institutions" hide behind the curtain of it being for the greater good of the "student athlete". As a society we have evolved past this realizing this is a joke and now it is all about the money. Conferences and schools will now do whatever it takes to chase the almighty dollar.

Lol, maybe this is just a giant ploy to **** A&M's chances of going to the SEC :twitcy:

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised with anything at this point.

Latest from Orangebloods doesn't look good:

I wish people would either **** or get off the pot. Let's get this decided, whichever way it goes. I am sick of the back and forth. Source says they go. Source doubts they'll go. Source thinks a&m might not go.

Just do it. It's football season, man!

That does not sound good at all. If the other presidents are meeting w/o TX and OU this is over.

Agreed, that was the most telling part about the article. When UT and OU are excluded from the conference you know the conference is ****ed.

If we are to the point that the other 7 schools are meeting w/o OU and Texas, what school outside of SMU is going to want to join this mess? Unbelievable that this is happening. We would have been better off if it all would have collapsed last year and we would have our spot with the other North schools in a BCS conference.

I am very sure that JP will lead us to the best option ISU has available. I am just not sure that there will be a lot of options available.

I am not at all a doomsday guy, but I find it hard to disagree with this comment. I will say that the B12 dismantling doesn't mean that ISU athletics falls off the earth. It just means that our future is unclear...good or bad.

Havent you heard ND, BYU and Arkansas....duh. Why wouldnt you give up total stability in your current situation for a completely unstable one in a disproportionate one in the Big6+2+4-2-1?

Which is why THEY created the BCS. Why blow-up what they created to get a playoff when they have resisted putting in a playoff?

Have you seen the money associated with the BCS?

I am not questioning the schools getting tired of NCAA regulations. And I could see them leaving. So you might very well be right.

Disagree. Last year this was a blind side. Things happened way too fast and it sent everybody reeling without a plan. We have now had a year to play out the posibilities and discuss and come up with alternate plans should the worse happen. JP is at least semi prepared for the B12 to implode...he may not have a ton of options, but they at least have plans.

If you think the money surrounding the BCS is amazing, just wait until you see what super conferences could create.

Why do you think the Big12 received the TV deal it did after almost disintegrating? Why do you think Texas is getting the LHN and $300 mil for 3rd tier rights?

That would all be chump change compared to what could be made in super conferences with a playoff system.

@GottliebShow And with Boren's statement about OU, Iowa state is in the fetal position in a dark room just rocking back and forth.

I ******* hate this *** hole.
