There is no news so the media is making it up -- just ignor it -- the Big Xii is not going away.
We're agreeing too much lately. We should fix that.

Mythbusters = Bulls are remarkably nimble
An angry bull with the flank strap attached to its underside the way that most people think it is?
Uh, yes, a defacto playoff. Semi-Finals and Championship game.

I don't necessarily believe this, however, if it all does shake down I 100% believe ISU is going to be just fine.
I swear either nobody pays attention or they are so stuck on their preconceptions that it just doesn't sink in - it was brought up earlier in this thread that KU and K-State are NOT tied to the hip like everyone is led to believe. KU would prefer to bring K-State along, but KU is in self-preservation mode, and if a conference only wants KU then K-State is on its own.
Not going to happen. NCAA would have to allow for another game. If they do that after turning down playoff system for the entire FBS, you can guarantee congress getting involved.

I guess how I see it working is all 16 teams play in the first week of the playoffs. The 4 #1 seeds play with the 2 winners advancing to the championship game. The #2-4 seeds play for bragging rights as their final conference game of the year.

There is nothing magical or mystical about the number 64 except that there will always be more BCS teams than 64 --- this is just so myopic and silly --- not to mention a long-term negative revenue generator - The reason none of this is viable.I guess how I see it working is all 16 teams play in the first week of the playoffs. So if Pac goes to 16 next year and no one else does, they get have 2 playoff games just to get to BCS. Sorry, don't see members approving that. That is suicide.
OU would have NO championship game in Big 12, but would have be willing to go to Pac 16 and have 2 playoff games. Where is the logic in that?

People talk about Texas playing every card, but I'm beginning to think OU has vastly outplayed their hand.
IT's like a bunch of kids at christmas standing around imagining the wonders that lie under that wrapping paper. Boy are they going to be disappoionted when it's just socks, shirts and a toy or two,,,,,, just like last year. There is too much money in the Big 12 for it to just disappear.
