A caller on a local call-in show claimed that Big Ten requires members to have a wrestling program. Don't know if this is true.
UT could start a wrestling program tomorrow that would be in the top 25 if they wanted to.
Would some of these programs have trouble getting a wrestling team started?
Nope. The B1G doesn't have any requirement like that for any sport. For example Wisconsin doesn't have baseball.
That's because they replaced it with the first collegiate baseketball team.
Oregon has Nike, Wisconsin has Pabst.

After watching Baylor, Oki State and Texas play last week, I was really sad to think that we may not have the opportunity to play them anymore. But I gotta say at this point I'm ready to tear down the whole goddamn conference just to see what ISUs' future just might be. I hope it's a shocker and I hope it's a good fit for us.
First, it's Boomer = not reliable.
Second, we aren't going to the MAC. That is even more ridiculous.
