Raysmiley- the huge tv contract only exists if ou and Tex stay in te big 12.

Fox will nix that contract in a heartbeat if they leave.

This feels like middle school, where you flinch in the "two for flinching game" and the ******* waits the whole day to give you your two. So many fake gut punches...just punch us already.

Am I the only one who is starting to not care? Bring on the Big East leftovers, whatever.

ABSOLUTELY AGREE! I had heard a bit ago that there was a chance the Big 12 stays together and I found myself cringing. I don't want it to stick together now. **** Texas, **** OU, and **** Texas Technical Motorcycle Mechanics Institute. I'm ready for whatever is next.

I don't think we are going to learn anything from the OU BOR meeting. It sounds like they are going to give Boren the ability to do what he wants on realignment, which basically means nothing.

I agree with this, it's just the waiting that is killing me.

I think worst case scenario right now is that the remaining 5 B12 schools absorb whatever BE teams don't go to the ACC. This makes the most sense because the Big East has no signed TV contract and the B12 has much larger exit penalties (~$25 mil vs $5 mil), so by preserving the B12 we keep our huge 2nd tier contract, add quality teams, and spread around $125 in exit penalties.

No, worst case scenario is TU, TT, OU, OSU leave, triggering an offer to Mizzou and maybe KU, giving enough votes to dissolve the Conference, along with the TV contract and exit money with it.

I include Memphis because of this
FedEx CEO could provide millions if BCS-affiliated league takes Memphis - CBSSports.com

PLUS
$125 Million in exit penalties to be spread around

PLUS
The schools would be on an even level with one another (no bullies like Texas and OU)

PLUS
All of these schools recruit Texas and Florida anyway

PLUS
You maintain rivalries and it makes sense (somewhat) geographically

Houston instead of SMU, UCF, or Memphis....most likely instead of Memphis

Definitely one of the more realistic possibilities. I'd be ok if there were no other options.

I just hope if this all goes down, that MU, KU, KSU and ISU stick together. I think if KU and MU get an invite to the B1G without us, we are ****ed!
