I hope Ina makes scallops today. I like watching her make scallops. Scallops are good.

It was also reiterated to me in a strong way again that KU and KSU are NOT tied together in anyway.

Kinda makes the "THAT's BS" comment I received from a source today a lot more relevant right now...continue to follow and watch change

And if OSU and OU are tied together then I think staying in the big 12 is the leader in the clubhouse as of now and that can change

UCLA AD Dan Guerrero cites "academic compatability" and no offense OSU and TTech are not stanford and Cal. just sayin

Yeah, this is kind of the funny part. If you go to any college sports message board in the country, this is easily the hottest topic out there right now....but hawk fans that are interested are simply interested in the demise of the Big 12 to watch ISU suffer....it has nothing to do with this being an unprecedented period of activity in the history of college athletics. :rolleyes:

Well if it is on any college sports message board, then my guess would be that you could find it on HN with Jon Miller and Hawk Nation collectively splooging all over their computer screens. Meanwhile, you're over here.

I think we are getting close to the final stages of fixing the BXII and moving forward. Seems like there are more and more negative statements coming out from both media and school representatives for randomly moving student athletes all around the country. I think everyone is taking their deep breath right now and soon this will all blow over.

<fingers crossed>

I don't think you'll find 13,000 posts about this subject over there....I'm just as interested in this thing as Cyclone fans, that's why I'm here.

If I had a passing interest, I'd be following it on HN. People on the front line tend to be more involved than those sitting on the sidelines.

I do follow this on a number of other message boards, but I don't follow it on Hawkeye sites.

My current take on the situation:

1) I'm starting to think that keeping the Big 12 together (minus A&M) is the odds on favorite right now. a) Texas/OU/OSU/TT going to the PAC-12 just doesn't make sense...they can all make more money in the Big 12. And b) the PAC may not even want all of those teams.

2) Listening to Iowa media...I honestly think we know more than they do (by far) because of this thread. Deace has the best handle on things IMO) but the other people on KXNO and 1700 know very, very little.

3) Our worst case scenario right now is a Big 12 leftovers + Big East leftovers merger. AQ status would be maintained. This option certainly is better than previous worst-case scenarios have been. We can thank the ACC for that.
