LOL. Again, I haven't once said ISU would be left out in the cold. Go ahead and go back and check my posting history the last few months. Every post I've made states that I see ISU in an AQ conference - I simply don't believe the Big 12 is viable. That's all.

And seriously? "You can't beat us so you root for our conference to explode". If you are going to discuss this with me, at least bring rational arguments to the table. Iowa is 37-17 against ISU all time - including 6-2 in the last 8. I think you better reevaluate your position just a bit - no team can win them all, but I'll take a damn near 70% win percentage any day of the week VS. any opponent.

What is Kirk's record against ISU?

Again, you try to put up the front that you want good things for ISU, but you anti-ISU boner is showing.

Hawkfan, keep your in-state stuff out of this thread.... Or.......

I didn't even mention anything about Cy-Hawk stuff until I was provoked...it seems kind if unjust that you're making this comment to me. You should be calling out Incyte & Yaman too if you want to say anything to me.

Don't we have other threads for rivalry stuff?

I love rivalry trash talk, but this thread is finally derailing for it.

Agreed entirely.

LOL. Last year. 15 months ago. This round I've thought entirely differently - the landscape has changed JUST a bit since May of 2010 - don't you think?

The last four months I've continuously stated ISU would end up in an AQ conference - you won't find a SINGLE post in this round of expansion where I stated ISU ends up in a non AQ.

I'd also add, in May of 2010 you'd find A LOT of Cyclone fans stating that ISU could end up in a non AQ league.
You lie. And aren't particularly honest. That is what I think.

You changed your tune because I called on it. If you are going to categorically deny something don't be so stupid as to believe people aren't going to react to you the way they do. I have better things to do than to respond to people who intentionally claim things here that are not true - and in the process call the other person ignorant or a liar, by default.

Stassen is wrong... Stassen omits games if schools are classified as "Non Major" when they played. ISU and Iowa played when one or both were classified as such.

Note: James' site contains only data for years when each team was considered 'major' (equivalent to today's I-A), and therefore will not necessarily yield true 'all-time' results.

Read what you post... You might be able to fool the mouth breathers in your fanbase, but don't peddle your crap here.

Skewed by the decades you were too chicken **** to play us. Remember the two decades of non-winning seasons Iowa had? Probably not since it is BH (Before Hayden and therefore unrecorded hawk-eye history) That is still an NCAA record in futility as far as I can tell.

Back to realignment. If Iowa was in the B12 and ISU in the B10, Iowa would have been just as vulnerable as ISU but I'm guessing the media would have covered it 180 degrees differently.

Anybody think A&M has a chance of staying around is all OU's demands are met? I know publicly they said no way, but they have to say that not to get the SEC teams mad at them. I don't know, but Pickens comments would make you at least think they're talking again behind closed doors.

If A&M is indeed gone, I really don't want to go over 12 either. Why should the Big 12 have to take the BE remnants when just a week ago the BE teams were begging the BE not to accept ISU and Baylor.

Assuming A&M is gone, adding BYU, West Virginia, and Ohio State makes sense to me. Agree?
Back in post 2,000 or so, I predicted Tam would not leave. I still think that. I do not think Mizzou will take the Baylor lawsuit risk either. For Tam, $28M ex it fee would buy a new football uniform wardrobe. I do not think SEC would want to remain a 13 team league. Woith the lockup of the remainder of Big 12, ACC, and Big ten, would they fill their roster with Memphis or whom? It does not appear the SEC has problems with the academics.

More recently.

And again no one should put his word up against another when his claims are clearly false.

I'm not making claims....I'm stating opinions. I'm no more informed than anyone (and I've never claimed to be)....and to say that I have no right to change my opinion given the events that occurred between May of 2010 and June of 2011 seems a bit stringent to say the least.

hawkfan ticked me off for quite a while early on, but he's modified his view as the evidence changed. By and large, his posts are fine.
Here is the initial post he responded to:

http://www.cyclonefanatic.com/forum...texas-m-leaving-big-12-a-348.html#post2412446

Take it elsewhere squateye. A year ago you were throwing out all these scenarios where it was inevitable ISU would end up MWC or MAC.

You are welcome to your own opinion. I don't take kindly to people who claim one thing, then try to claim later they meant something else.

His categorical denial said nothing about in the last few months or whatever, like he is saying now.

Agreed. No reason to litter the front page with a ton of different threads.

Besides, this thread could break a world record some day.

Yeah, if we want to rename it as "Official Realignment Thread" fine, but don't shut it down. It's nice that we were all able to keep one thread going instead of starting 10 different threads about the same thing. And people have still tried to do it.
