I had scheduled a vacation for last week planning to do something for our 20th anniversary. We decided to wait on a trip and when I mentioned to my wife it was a Friday game she immediately said we should go. Awesome wife! So we drove from Virginia for the best football game ever, she had a great time and will be up for a return visit. Tickets $11, parking $20, gas $600, memories for a lifetime....priceless.

Now what do get my wife for our anniversary?

Bowl tickets, DUH!

I was there and it was as awesome as at looked. A big thank you to the clowns over at WRNL for some extra tickets so I could give some more away.

Who called the game on ESPN?

Joe Tessitore and Rod Gilmore. Strage enough, Joe Tessitore also called the Baylore OU game. He called the two biggest upsets last weekend.

I have to think that he looked at his schedule and said something like, "Oh, yeehah. Ames on Friday and Waco on Saturday. Are you trying to make me quit?"

Now he would look at it and say, "I saw Murderer's Row knock down the state of Oklahoma." He can say he was there for half of the BCS chaos that went down last weekend.

It was hard listening to Gilmore be an OSU schill the whole game only to come around in the last 10 minutes and give us a little credit. I expect it when it's #2 versus us as an unranked tram, but he was just an over the top OSU hype machine for three and half quarters.

He shilled for us during the LSU game. I can't imagine that we've gotten a lot of notice during SEC broadcasts in the past.

It's a hard scramble when you have what seems like an obvious s c r i p t in your head (BCS chatter during a blowout), and the game simply doesn't match it.

The Cyclones played really well, and yet were trailing by 17. (I only watched the ESPN replay of the game, so may have missed his most egregious errors) When they tried the field goal, he had switched to, "hey, they made the game exciting mode, but here comes the dagger."

The miss just forced him, finally, to adjust to the unexpected. Aside from him thinking that passing wasn't part of the game plan at all, I didn't think he did any worse than anyone else who has no need to pay attention to a team that wasn't even bowl eligible.

I AM SO PROUD....... TO BE A FAN OF THIS FOOTBALL TEAM!!!!!!!

Was at the game with my Dad and he's normally a quite guy but during the 4th quarter and both OT's he was yellling and High-fiving people behind us. Also, he never said a word about standing the whole game. Not bad for a 70 year old!! Asked him if he wanted to go down on the field but his knee's were hurting so we just stayed by our seats and soaked up the greatest college football atmoshpere I've ever seen. What a game!!

Watched from home but man, watching those cameras shake toward the end was AWESOME! And I totally got chills when they rushed the field and heard them start playing Sweet Caroline. Pretty cool stuff.

Oh, and watching the announcers eat their words after us being 17 down and them trashing Barnett for being a redshirt Freshman lacking accuracy against their God-like Heisman candidate. Some of the shots of Wheedon's face toward the end were priceless.
