My issue is the Patriots defense is bad. Tebow's 3 and outs are killers. He has to go start making more first downs even if the drives don't produce points.
They shredded the best defense in the league and were shutdown by one of the worst, can't place all that blame on Tebow.

Cmon, Pitt wasn't even close to that. Their whole front 4 was out. But even so, and most I talked to last night will admit, that Pitt's defensive scheme that game was downright awful. They let receivers get behind them all day. Make Tebow throw 10-15 yard routes and work his way down the field and you have a recipe for success.

Interesting to see what they can make of this with an entire offseason preparation for a read option offense, as opposed to a midseason desperation adhoc experiment.

There were some highs and lows this season, but more highs. If you would have said they would have won the division and and a first round playoff game 5 games into the season, you would have been called nuts. I don't know if it's going to work long-term, but I'm very interested in seeing how it plays out.

Hopefully, ESPN will tone down the hype a bit going into next year; I don't think they they are doing Tebow and favors, IMO.

That's because the pulled in 9 in box to stop the run. For Denver to be successfull, they need a strong enough run threat to force teams to do this.

Agreed....but they played tight on the outside. And those WRs that everyone said weren't any good, proved to be pretty good at 1v1.

And Tebow actually appears to be pretty accurate when it comes to deep throws. (he'll never be a west coast offense QB tho).

Ran into a buzzsaw called the New England Patriots, can't deny that it was a heck of a ride up until then though.

Good season 3True!

Funny, that everyone can talk about the Patriots D as being bad. When GB's is even worse! and the Saints was right below the Patriots! C'mon!

Now, if you rank the worst D by pass yards allowed a game, yes they are one of the worst, but when you rank with points given up, they are 14th. Right in the middle.

You go ahead and score, 30 points a game vs the "worst" D, Brady will put up 31.

Never said he wouldn't. But they give up lots of yards and other teams have moved the ball at will on them. Tebow could not.

Never once did I say the Packers or Saints had good defenses either, btw. Not sure what point you are trying to prove.

You said your issue was that the D was bad, I wanted to point out, that EVERYONE says that, but why aren't those SAME people talking about the Packers or Saints (last week).

I agree, many QB's have had success against them in yards thrown, but not points put up.

What is your point? That tebow should have had success?

He should have moved the ball better against the Patriots. That's my point. If we were discussing the Packers or Saints games I would have brought them up. We were discussing the Pats vs Broncos. That's why I'm not discussing those other teams.....

Your confused though. Tebow is not that good, so the Patriots D doesn't have anything to do with it.

*sigh*

I know he isn't. That is my point. If you read through this thread (which I don't expect you to do now) you would know I hate Tebow because I think he is a ****** QB.

I can't imagine Tebow will be the Broncos' starter next season. I'd guess that job number one for the Broncos' front office if finding a new QB.

Denver better fix their middle of the field D. Pats really exposed them twice. Of course not every team has Welker and 2 of the top 5 tight ends in the league.

:skeptical: He puts fans in the seats. He will be their QB to start the year next season. He brings in too much money for a team to just get rid of him.

Dude, seriously...no. There's a decent chance he won't be a starter at the end of the year (even if healthy), but he'll be the starter at the beginning. I think the broncos should probably hedge their bet by acquiring a credible conventional QB (and I'm a Tebow fan), but he'll be the starter.

The only thing preventing him starting, other than injury, is if he is assumed bodily into heaven before game 1.
