While I don't like the idea of ISU playing in the play-in game, I wish that they wouldn't make the 16 seed a play in game. Those teams won their conference, giving them an irrevocable ticket to the dance. They should be able to participate in the field of 64 without having to play in to get there.

I love the fact that we're in the mix again, but would just as soon not see Lutz. There will be plenty of film out there on us by then, but I'd still rather not see a guy that worked with most of our team and coaching staff for the whole season last year.

Maybe that would be the case if it were indeed a play in game. However the NCAA is adamant that it is not a play in game and it is just a field of 68. So if that is the case they should use a true bracket rather than scabbing on a opening round games at any other line than the 16 lines.

By the way, I am not fooled by the NCAA. I know that they are indeed play in games. It is their assertion, not mine. Either it is a play in and they put it where they want or it isn't and they use a true bracket with the worst teams playing at the opening round with the chance to play #1.

ISUCYCLONES2015

I sent you a PM a couple months ago and never got a response. Just wondering if you saw it.

As far as the tournament, I'd be happy just getting in. Omaha would be nice since we'd get a huge turnout. I'm hoping for Pittsburgh since it would only be an hour drive for me and I only got to see one game this year. (Texas) Big change from having season tickets for last 10 years.

Fine, make it a field of 68 but winning your conference tournament automatically earns you a first round bye.

My basic feeling is, if they were going to go to 68 (unnecessary in my opinion, but so be it) either go all 16's, since they're the technically the lowest seeds in; or make all of them at-large "opening rounds" and all on the same line (perhaps the 11 or 12 seed).

I don't think ISU will be a bubble team..........either they play like they have the past 6 games and get in comfortably or they fall apart. I think this team is starting to gel and is going to make a run to be a 5 - 7 seed.

I'm beginning to lean that way, too -- either safely in, or too far short of the bubble — I don't think ISU will "fall apart" at the bad extreme, but simply not get many huge wins.

I think if ISU does get in, it'll be 7- to 10-seed area.

Next 3 games will determine a ton.

I still am a little surprised that he has the Big ten getting 8 teams. I think this is a little much. Maybe 7 teams.

No way big 10 gets 8 teams and our 4th or 5th conf finisher is stuck in the play in game.

How would that work, would Bobby continue to blue tooth Fred the plays we need to run for that game or would Fred be on his own? I dont know about you guys but I dont like the latter one bit because everyone on this board knows Fred cant coach. :jimlad:

I also say a projection on NBCsportd that has ISU vs NC State as a play in game with the winner getting Murray State
