I'll go with:

Terrence Samuel
Matt Thomas
Jaylon Brantley/Monte Morris
Kyle Washington

This would be a great recruiting class to help keep Fred's momentum going. It seems pretty realistic too. What do you guys think?

all these guys pretty solid? how good is matt thomas

Thomas is pretty similar to Christopherson. A good shooter, about 6'4". I believe Wisconsin has started to come calling. I think he'd be a great get.

I would be very stoked about this class, along with 1-2 Juco bigs. We will be losing Babb, McGee, Lucious, Clyburn, Booker and very likely at least 1-2 others between now and then (White probably).

5 is probably the minimum amount of open scholarships. If we lose White and Booker, we'll certainly need another big man and preferably one that can contribute quickly.

I agree, if White leaves we would need another post player. Until he does though I'm pretty sure we only have four scholarships. I could see Maverick Morgan as another post player.

I think ISU's interest in Sheppard has kind of dropped off. We have yet to offer.
Yeah...I'm wondering if that hurts our chances with Samuel. If they are a package, I would assume it does.

I honestly don't think it does. I saw the opportunity for them to play together as an added incentive, not a deal breaker. Samuel is getting recruited by some big name schools, Sheppard isn't. If playing together is a priority for them I'd think they'll have to do it at a mid major or lower level major school. I could be wrong, but this is my perception of things.

So 2 point guards a SG and a power forward. By 2013 the only big men left will be Gibson, Niang and Ejim (with Railey transferring after this year and White going pro next year IMO) I doubt Washington could come in and help right away, so like another poster said it would be GREAT to get 2 juco big men or preferably 1 juco post and another freshman post. But who knows, Fred could pull in a couple more big time transfers the next 2 years. Wouldn't surprise me.

Returning Gibson, Ejim, Niang and maybe Railey is not bad compared to what we are returning in the perimeter. We lose Babb, McGee, Lucious, and Clyburn and return Bubu, Long, and SDW. We are going to need some guards from the Class of 2013 to play major PT their freshman year.

Don't forget Sledge too. I think ideally ISU should try and get another post player after Royce leaving opens up a scholarship. I really like Maverick Morgan, but wouldn't be surprised if we go the JUCO route.
