Royce has been very fun to watch and is one of the best players to put on a Cyclone uni, coming back would be awesome...but as the father of 2 kids, Royce needs to do whatever it is that is best for him and his family. This isn't some kid people are talking about, a man that has responsibilities like most of us on here. People need to respect that. He will make money playing basketball. Thats not in question, there will be plenty of debate about how much and what he needs to do to make more but most of you college kids won't touch what he will make playing wherever his career in basketball takes him. Thank you for making Cyclone Basketball relevant again and whatever he chooses, I will always remember Royce White as a great Cyclone!

I hope he has the option and outlook to get paid and have a long career to provide for his family. If he does I'm glad we saw him for a year and he is a clone. If he isn't in that position I hope he listens to the right people and he gets paid after another. The man is an outstanding cyclone and person

In the NBA, he won't get to start 30 feet out and take it to the rim. Everybody will be taller and stronger. If he can't hit the 15 footer, he has no chance of making it. Now, there may be a team that will pay him alot to learn to hit the 15 footer. I trust Fred to give him good advice. If he comes back I think we are a legimate final 4 team next year.

Kentucky is pretty close to an NBA team, so I'm not sure you are correct. Hard for anyone to stop someone as tall and built as Royce who can handle the ball like him from getting to the hoop (or dish back out if the defense collapses on him), I think that NBA teams could do quite a bit of game planning with Royce as their centerpiece.

He stood toe to toe with the best front court in the NCAA and outplayed them, in my opinion.

Selfishly I want him to come back. I think we could be the favorite in the conference. But I think his tournament was good enough for him to go.

Keep your head on straight and do us proud.

My guess is Fred will make some calls to see what his contacts are telling him. The first round is worth much much more than second round money. Personally I do not see too many more talented people currently in the pros. This is a guy who the fans will pay to come out and watch. He is a great human story and a great ambassador. He now plays in a pro opffense and has shown he can pass, dunk, dribble, and rebound. Frankly he can shoot the mid range, but elects not to do it this year. He will need to play tougher defense though as pros can shoot.

If you weigh 270, you out bulk 95-98 % of the pros. And he can motor.

You may be my favorite cyclone of all time and you have only been here a year. But, dude, you should go pro. I think another year with a true point to allow you to show your post game would serve you well but go get paid.

Thanks for the fun year.

I think Royce is just getting started.

The boy played so unselfish this season for the benefit of the team, this may have been the first game when he truly got into "I'm an NBA prospect" mode for an extended period.

If a player wants to bolt, I'm all for it. I find it hard to believe one more season wouldn't boost his stock immensely.

Work still needs to be done for White individually and for ISU. The NBA devours people like Royce . . . and spits them out. Remember Marcus Fizer?

I think he is a 2nd rounder at this point (he doesn't show up on any 2012 mocks). With that performance he played his way in but not smart to go now. This draft is sort of deep and I see him going a lot higher next year. I mean, his name is just starting to get circulated. Moving into the lottery next year is definitely not out of the question for Royce; to go now would not be wise IMO. Build your resume and prove you can put up consistent great seasons. He will be back for us. Never under-estimate the power of #CYCLONENATION

Royce definately got a lot of attention for himself by his play today. However, scouts don't draft players based on their good games only. They'll look over all of his games and see that there is some inconsistency.

Now I don't pretend to know what's best for Royce... but my opinion (which isn't worth 2 cents) is that he'd benefit from coming back for a second year to show that consistency (both offense and defense). The numbers (points) improve a little bit. Keep the assists and rebounding up. Turnovers go down a little and you'll see a lotto pick.

Right now, I'd guess he's a second round pick, and I don't think any sophomore should settle for that when you can raise your stock as much as Royce still can. (He plays like he did tonight day in and day out next season and I see a top 3 pick next year)

If he were a Junior or a Senior, I'd mayby agree he should go pro. But he can do so much better in college with a full year of experience under his belt.

That's what we do here.

One thing I never understood about the NBA draft is that a lot of time players get drafted on potential alone....apparently Ryoce doesn't have any.

I bet he shows up right after the tourney. Fred highlighted all the players he outplayed during the tourney and conference play.

I'm sure he will, and I think if he's a high first rounder, it would be silly not to go, as there wouldn't be much to gain, and everything to lose in that case. But second round? Definitely hope he doesn't go for that.
