If this is true, so happy for him, but sad for me. I was really hoping for one more year. I certainly wish Royce all the best!

It would be freaking AWESOME, if somehow the Goodman thing wasn't true (or was a setup) to make a grand "CYCLONE NATION, I'M COMING BACK TO WIN US A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP NEXT YEAR! #LANDOFLIONS" announcement.

Let me dream.

I'm hearing that there will be a press conference today at 2:30 but I cannot report if he is staying or leaving. My sources can't confirm anything at this point. My best advice is to sit tight until we hear something from Iowa State or Royce himself.

Royce himself said press conference at 2:30 to announce his future. It would be weird to announce anything other than he is going.

Get to work! I dont refresh this site 50 times a day while not paying any membership fees to find out things at the same time as the general public!

You would think (and I could be wrong) that local media has more ties and sources to the program then Jeff Goodman.

Agents are probably his thing would be my guess. It only takes one WorldWide Wes to open their mouth.

Edit: What gogagig said.

I'm not surprised because he has a family that he has to think about first and foremost.

He also must have a good idea from Fred and others that his stock is as high now as it's going to get.

Best of luck to him and I hope he lands with a team that really knows how to use his unique skillset. I would love for his future success to reflect positively on ISU and CFH.

Royce's immediate success should be a boon to future recruiting and I hope CFH can capitalize on it and take us to new heights.

Best of luck RW! You deserve it for all of your hard work!

2 thoughts here:

1) Good point!
2) Only 50 times? You're a slacker, and you need to get working on that. We have expectations around here, and you're not measuring up with 50 refreshes. Step it up!!

I just dont like that CBS article stating that an agent was hired though, he's gone but he does have a family to take care of...

When I saw that picture of his twitter and the time was an hour early, guarantee he was in the eastern time zone hiring an agent!

It seems like a bad decision to me, but IF Fred is telling him to go pro then he should definitely do it.
I think John Walter's said it best with his tweet yesterday. I think Royce could go lottery once NBA Execs. sit down and meet with him face to face. His play has gotten him to the late first round. Him being able to address GMs concerns will get him into the lottery, I really believe that.

This is exactly how I feel.

This makes me incredibly sad that I didn't take the chance to watch more ISU BB. I only got to see him play in the tourney games and was really looking forward to next year :( I hope he goes to the Bulls so I can see him occasionally when the husband watches them.

But, if he's got a family and Fred says it's right.....he's gotta do it.
