I live in 412 for almost 3 years of college. Couldn't hardly believe it when I heard they were tearing those down.

I never thought ole' Doc would give up those houses, especially 412!

We lost 442 last year too. It was tragic to say the least.

Probably will see more of the houses in that area go as ISU grows. Could be good for campustown though. More foot traffic will be helpful for all the businesses in that area.

535 was my home for 2 years, the silos behind us also had some great friends.
Hope those are always preserved.

325 Welch was my home for 3 yrs. One of the most luxurious apartments I've seen college town (no joke). Had awesome patio that faced towards the fraternity. My roommate and I used to sit outside and watch drunk people walk by and do stupid things. Ah good memories.

A landlord of three homes decided to redevelop his 3 homes at Lynn and Knapp to build a new apartment building. Quite a few new residential buildings have sprouted up in Campustown in the last year. Good for the bars and restaurants down there I suppose.

Great more apartments for kids to fall out of.

LOL, but too soon.

IMO more apartments in Campustown will only be good for Campustown. That whole area west of campus has more student-oriented houses than I've ever seen near a college campus. I'd rather see campustown continue to increase in density and have that west side stay houses.

Not my call though. Either way, I like seeing Ames grow.

Id rather have apartment buildings in Campustown than East Boone. (my nickname for West Ames)
