Did they say whether or not it will connect to the practice facility or if they will walk outside from the FOF to the tunnel to the field? The most recent rendering I saw (top down view) made it seem like it would be outside.

I'm guessing it won't be connected. If it was connected, you would need a way for people to get over or under the tunnel to be able to still walk around the stadium.

Sounds awkward and do not see that working out very well.

Plenty of other colleges do this, and it is not as awkward as people are making it out to be. Certainly not a reason to reorganize the seating throughout the whole stadium. Teams just take turns crossing...more of an incentive to hurry the players off the field if anything.

Notre Dame shares the same tunnel as their opponent. This would be more awkward but its always been this way so it really isn't awkward at all.

The Kansas basketball team goes through the concourse to get from the court to the locker room. God forbid people have to hold up for a minute as the team crosses the outer sidewalk around Jack Trice, in fact, it'll be an even better way for kids and fans to get closer access to the players.

Can we still leave at halftime, or will this affect that aspect of the Cyclone experience? :jimlad::jimlad::jimlad::jimlad:

we have been entering in the middle for years now

Yes but the visitors still came out the west side so there still wasn't any cross over. Now the visitors will come out the east side and cross over.

I don't think it will be too much of a problem. The visitors are almost always completely on the field before the home team comes out anyway. There shouldn't be any players running into each other.

Can the players at least join the other team at midfield, jump around, and trash talk each other before the game like often happens at OSU-Michigan and Miami-FSU, etc?

I do seem to remember there were a few times when the other team would wait and run onto the field the same time we do.

But, it seems most people do not think this will be a problem so I will go with it.

One off the wall thought about the tunnel location. Seems to be in a good location if we decide to bowl in the North end zone. I remember seeing some pretty sweet renditions on here that had the whole stadium bowled in.

Throw the band in the equation and I wonder how they plan to get Visitors on the field with out disrupting the bands formations for ISU's entrance...
