one of my goals in working out and getting into shape is that i want to be able to dunk on a 10ft hoop. I'm 6'2" 185lbs and i've never been able to come close. the past few months i've really been working on my legs in hopes of dunking someday.

I can get high enough but can't palm it well enough to get the ball down... Sigh

I could dunk when I was young. A couple of years ago I was in a gym with no one around and I tried. oh my God it was ugly. I couldn't come close to touching the rim and i'm the same weight I was in high school.

I wish.

I'm 5'11 and can dunk a tennis ball. In college I could tip dunk a basketball but that's about it. Hands aren't big enough to grip the ball.

well i'm very excited for you. I've always been really skinny and had chicken legs and i've never had much of a vertical at all.

This just happens to be a small goal i set, you can set some other goal for yourself!

Hope you can get some tail by hanging on the rim bud, because the girls/your wife aint gonna want anything to do with you when they see you wearing these around town/school/work. It's not worth it bud, take the lay up.

I'll be able to hear your Achilles pop from here. Give it up. Nobody jumps higher as they get older.

My last dunk came right around the time of my first beer. There may have been a connection.

Moderately heavy hang cleans and front squats for a couple of months and you'll be banging your head on the rim. My forehead looks like an old time professional wrestlers from the scars, LOL.

Not necessarily true, I guess it depends on how you define getting older. Your athletic peak is actually in your late 20's. I peaked at that time and can tell I'm on the way down now (31).
