It has gotten to a point, if a live sporting event isn't on, my tv isn't on.

I would watch Kaley Cuoco stand still in a habit for a half hour and it would still be a good show. She alone makes BBT worth the watch. There are some decent jokes there too. Walowitz (sp) cracks me up.

I hate shows (like big bang theory) that have a fake audience to simulate laughter a million times per episode.

Yeah when I looked at several of the shows that don't use a laugh track I noticed a lot of them were some of my favorite shows like Arrested Developement, Community, The Office, and Parks and Rec.

For sure. Seinfeld seems to be the big exception to this rule, but I can't think of many shows I enjoy that have a laugh track.

The best shows don't have laugh tracks (typically). I think it's because you have to be smart enough to understand the humor which makes it that much more entertaining. I love the office, and it's best moments are the awkward silences.

There are occasional Office moments that are funny... "No, no no, noooooooooo!" But I agree with the people that say it overall isn't very good. I have a friend that thinks it's the best show ever... I have watched a few episodes and haven't laughed once

Recent ones? I think after Carell left it sort of went down hill.

Shows must suck if numerous people mention the same ones. I hated friends just like the OP stated. Schwimmer had the acting talent of a harbor seal and just the apparent smugness of the other actors adds fuel to the fire. So glad when that was done. Big Bang? Yes, horrible. If I were to crack a smile, that would surprise me. Keith Morrison from dateline, lol. Finger nails on a chalkboard. That show What Would You Do has teets so dry, its ridiculous.

It's okay to dislike the office. But if the opinion is post-Michael Scott then try a few of the older episodes. (especially season 2). But if you don't like it you just don't like it, to each their own.
