Are you a man? Do you dislike mustard?

Running a little non scientific inquiry after a discussion with my wife. I just told her I've never met a man that didn't like mustard. She thinks I am full of it (I am), but on this topic I think I'm pretty close to hitting the nail on the head.

Also, out of curiosity, if you are a man and you do not like mustard, what is your favorite condiment? Ketchup? Mayo? Ranch? Something else?

Mustard is great with the right foods. Hot dog, Ham sandwich.

I would never use mustard on a roast beef sandwich. That's what mayo is for.

Any time I see someone put ketchup on a hot dog, I throw up in my mouth a little.

Yes, but I like the real deal stuff a lot more than yellow. Dipping pretzels in a stone ground mustard is a great snack.

FYI, the downtown deli has a decent assortment of mustard to put on your sammich.

i'm a man and i loathe mustard. it is one of my least favorite flavors on the planet. don't like the smell, don't like the taste, don't like it in sauces/dressings. absolutely disgusting.

do love ketchup and BBQ. wasn't exposed to mayo as a child so i keep it out of my diet as an adult (I have lived without it this long, why incorporate another bad eating habit now?)

i can choke down 'good' mustard, but that bright yellow crap is just wrong.

This. I can't stand French's or any of the other yellow mustards. However, stone ground mustard or dijon mustard or creole mustard (my personal favorite) are tasty.

Mustard is my go-to condiment. It and hot sauce are far and away the most versatile condiments around. Ketchup, ranch, and BBQ sauce all have very specific applications and are just terrible in the wrong situations.

Yellow is better than none, but I almost never use it of my own accord.

Just like the other major condiments, i like it with the right foods. Get me some brat mustard for brats or honey mustard for chicken and we're good. On a burger i like ketchup instead (actually, ketchup is good on most things)

By the way, the source of this discussion is I have a nephew who is 15 and does not like mustard. He lathers everything in mayo of epic proportions. He is on my wife's side of the family and I keep telling her I am worried about him because I've never met a man that didn't like mustard.

It's a developed taste to be honest. I didn't like mustard until I was 16 or 17.

The only reason that I grill brats (every other night) is that the brats provide a good "platform" for eating lots of mustard. I love Plochman's mustard...........
