So please tell me how many more commits we can take in? I see at least 2-3 commits still this year.

I'm not doubting that he may flip, but I am definitely not counting on him flipping, either. There's been too many times where I thought ISU was in a good position with a kid, only for that kid to make a decision that has me saying WTF?

Like the kid that chose Vandy a year or two ago? Grady I think his name was?

Impossible to know. There might be people who leave the program. According to numbers as of now, I think we have 1 or 2 spots...

MU athletics is a mess right now both on and off the court/field. Strictly talking football...they are in the process of changing how they do things. Who knows if the coaches are capable of doing this and if they will last long enough to do it. Regardless, they will be rebuilding with different types of playesr and tinkering with their system for the next four years. Half the fans are still complaining about moving to the SEC. Once the newness wears off and the losses continue to mount it will be back to the half full stadiums in Columbia.

ISU on the other hand is a few solid recruits from taking a giant step in a conference in transition. We have the right coach and the fan base is excited. These next four years could be a lot of fun for a player. The next class kind of reminds me of the Hicks/Leaders time frame. I think we are starting a little run that with a couple more players puts us over the type this time making those players legends.

Cus they are 8-4? Vandy has turned into a good team.

yeah, in the SEC. Outside of a few good teams the rest are Kansas-quality. Heck, with the right rotation against the west, Vandy could run 9-3 with losses to South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida and run the table for the rest of the schedule.

Let's not act like Baylor, WVU, TTU and TCU are world beaters. I would put Vandy right in their league and they are a pretty inexperienced team. Give Franklin a couple years. If he stays, they will compete.

People are actually defending Vandy football? :biglaugh:

Congrats to Vandy on a great season. 8 wins overall and a 5-3 record in the SEC... impressive to some but after further review....

Non-conference wins against Presbyterian (2-9), UMASS (1-11), and Wake Forest (5-7)... Impressive.

Conference wins against Missouri (5-7), Auburn (3-9), Kentucky (2-10), Ole Miss (6-6), and Tennessee (5-7)... Extremely impressive.

In conclusion Vandy beat exactly 0 teams with winning records this year. The highlight of their season was a 1 point win against a 6-6 team. HOORAY!!!!

Vandy... We salute you!

This is a great point and everyone who is going crazy over Vandy should see it.

Compare that to Iowa State's wins:

Tulsa (9-3)
Iowa (4-8)
Western Illinois (3-7)
TCU (7-4)
Baylor (6-5)
Kansas (1-10)

Two of those teams are trash, one is a rivalry, and the other three are going bowling.

Epic Fail on your part. That 8-4 record isn't all it's cracked up to be. Then again... you wouldn't know that because you don't know what you are talking about.

3 out of four loses were to top 10 teams as well and only one was a blow out. Funny how you left that out. If we play that schedule, we are probably going 8-4 as well. Maybe worse, but not likely better. Then you can look at Franklins first two recruiting classes and be like dang. Vandy isn't any more a joke than we are. In fact, I would say we are pretty damn similar.

That I agree with, but comparing them to TCU and WVU who have played in BCS games. Heck, BU had 10 wins last season. When has Vandy ever gotten that?
