I was at that game last year. I was so excited to see the team in action for the first time.

Unfortunately, that game was just a harbinger of the disapoinment to come.

I am really excited for the game. Hopefully, I will be able to attend the game but at least we have this option. I'm looking forward to some good defense and all-around teamwork.

Info on them from last year...

That Maury Hanks, he's a pretty smart guy.

Hanks coached the EA Sports touring team that played six exhibition games this season. Last week, Hanks gave CBS SportsLine.com an unofficial "all tour" team featuring the best players he saw.

You'll recognize most of the names. One of them you won't. But he's a smart guy, Maury Hanks. You'll see in a minute.

Glen Davis, LSU: The sophomore center had 20 points and eight rebounds in the Tigers' 74-54 victory against EA Sports.

Nate Funk, Creighton: The senior guard had 18 points in Creighton's 74-67 win.

Curtis Stinson, Iowa State: Hanks knows Stinson was better than his 3-for-17 shooting in the Cyclones' 64-57 loss to EA Sports.

Randall Hanke, Providence: The sophomore center had 15 points, four rebounds and one block in the Friars' 77-75 win.

Tyrus Thomas, LSU: Who? Exactly. Thomas is a 6-foot-9 redshirt freshman who arrived last season with no fanfare but caught Hanks' eye in LSU's exhibition win by putting up 13 points and five rebounds.

That was no fluke. In LSU's season-opening win against Southern, Thomas had 18 points and eight rebounds. Hanks was right. Let it be noted.

As a side note, EA Sports also won at Utah State, where the Aggies have lost just nine times in the past nine years.

Utah State plays them tomorrow night...

Thanks for the info. We get them at the end of 3 in a row. They have some big bodies on the roster. It will be interesting to see if our bigs show any improvement against those guys.

I don't have a poster. But the Cyclones.com website says EA and the schedule above says EA plays ISU on nov3rd. It really doesn't matter anyway. I just wanted to know who was on the team and if they have played before.

No, they are often referred to as the same thing.

When I did a search for the info, some sites called them EA Sports and some called them Global Sports. Some listed both names.

Indeed, it's the same organization, just with different team names. As for the roster coming to Ames, nobody will know for sure until they come out for warmups.

Global/EA Sports has a fairly fluid roster from game to game, as do several other similar exhibition teams. Guys join and leave as their 'normal' schedules allow.
