Dude's a baller for sure but if he flops like that next year against the big boys they'll really put him on the floor.

At the end when he was under our basket alone with his hands up just cracked me up. "guys, hey guys. hellloo??"

I loved when he got dunked on and just looked dumbfounded. Check that, just looked dumb.

He's a good player that could use another year of college hoops to be prep'd for the NBA. I hope he decides to forgo that. I don't want to have to play him again -- unless we need to beat them in the Big12 tourney

When he was walking to the locker room after the game some of the students were shouting out at and he responded with "I'm gone." I took this as, he's not coming back.

And why wouldn't you? Very well might be player of the year. I didn't realize he was that big. He has size, quickness, ball handling. Put all that together and he could be a huge pain in the *** for us.

I'm not sure what else he needs. He's got great size and strength and has a mature game. I don't think he has anything to gain in a basketball respect by coming back.

Yeah. I was already expecting him to leave. Hearing him say that confirms that expectation though.

Hopefully he and Nash are gone

Agree, but..Smart is so much better than Nash. Smart is built like Queen Latifah with NBA PG skills. He made Ben McLemore look like a poser. He's got to be one of the most NBA-ready players in the draft and he is only a freshman. OSU is probably better than ISU next year regardless if Nash goes pro, though. They have some talent coming in, and have a talented roster.

Smart will be gone after this year and thank god. He is one heck of a player and a very tough one to match up with.

FWIW, nbadraft.net has McLemore going #1, Smart going #2 overall.

NBADraft.net

If he's truly projected to be a top 5 pick, I don't see much of a chance of him coming back. How many players have ever done that? Not many I would think.

Unless he really truly loves playing for OSU that much he will be gone. I don't think there is much for him to gain coming back.

He is going to be a future NBA all star. I hope Nash leaves too. That kid has loads of potential and another year at OSU could make it tough for the rest of the league next year.

Weak draft, and he is a definite lottery pick. That will be his only game in Hilton.

Debatable, if both Smart and Nash leave they lose players that are a bit more highly thought then what ISU loses(albeit one less). ISU's top incoming freshmen are ranked a touch higher by Rivals as well. One would assume that ISU's strategy of CC players as filler vs. freshmen would have a stronger immediate impact as well.
