For all of you that think he isn't a great coach and blame him for any loss - check yourself.

Huge and gutty call to bench KL and put in Bubu - then give Will the ball.

And great change on defense to handle Osby.

Iowa State: Home of the point forward. I kept having Royce flashbacks.

Hoiberg's got some serious coaching skills and some serious nads. Everyone here talks about how Will "loses the handle" (and he does) and yet in the clutch Hoiberg gave him the ball. Amazing. Bring on KU.

Quick to blame and slow to thank. Some armchair generals on this site need to learn to kindly shut up.

One of the best adjustments he has made in his young career. I cannot believe we won this game while allowing so many offensive rebounds and missing so many threes. Will's aggressiveness was key in this game. He didn't start out hot but he stayed aggressive which allowed him to get it going!

I think KL and Georges were sick. Not positive though. But yes, Bubu shredded them apart in Norman, glad he did the same in KC

I feel like a bad fan for all but counting Isu out of this game. But Fred did a phenomenal job mixing it up for the entire game. More of a relief victory than celebratory win. Congrats to the guys, let's get Kansas.

KL shot was very off today but he had 9 assists and still contributed significantly to that win. It was a very good move by fred to go with Clyburn at the point late though.

It was a risk to put Lucious on the bench because if we lose, the questioning was going to be tough, but it had to happen and I'm so proud of Hoiberg for going with his guts putting KL on the bench for the end of the game. Great call by CFH!

His halftime adjustments were the best I've seen all season. Absolutely amazing. Fred, you are so damn dreamy!!

The best part about KL being benched was he didn't sulk he was cheerleading the whole time even though he knew he wasn't going back in the game. Good man.

I think there's another "NBA" portion of his coaching that doesn't get recognized in that I don't think he necessarily makes those changes during the regular season. I think at times he's willing to take a loss to let the team, or certain players, attempt to work through things. To figure out what they are capable of and what they aren't.

Now its the post season, and he's willing to pull out all the stops.

I love it.

I give all the credit to coach for making WC take the point; KL & GN sitting out for over 5-min. But Will was not flawless at the end there and I still lack confidence with him on the dribble penetration; he has a tendency to turn it over.

You all have to acknowledge we also went 14-14 at FT, including Ejim hitting some clutch FT as our lowest % FT shooter.

I think taking KL out shows how much of a player's coach Mayor actually is. KL can come back strong tomorrow night.

We have a coach people. I may not always agree with CFH, but damn, I absolutely would not trade him for any other coach in America right now. Not for ISU. He outcoached Lon Kruger today folks, an old bull that knows how to coach. That is impressive. You notice the biggest thing about second half? Our players were having fun, even when down. That is fun to watch.

I would almost guarantee that CFH just has to tell KL that it is ok, he has his off game out of the way, now he can shine tomorrow night.
