This is just pathetic. If you can read my sig picture, that explains how I feel about the Lucca case. This is pathetic, stupid, and blatant favoritism.

Yeah, Lucca never took anything, not even a couple of tickets, and he's gone for a year. So much for following the rules.

I don't know why, but I saw nothing wrong here. They have been friends since he was in middle school.

I thought I remembered about Seneca giving Lane and some others tickets when Seneca was a rookie and Lane and others were still at Iowa State.

I suppose this will be a tax write-off for Mayo's family. So the actual amount paid is less than the ticket value. Also, wonder if the $460 is face value or market value, if only face value then he still received and unfair advantage and a gift.

What does it say?
Revenue in the NCAA in 2004:$500,240,721
Myles Brand's salary plus benefits: $870,185
Screwing a totally innocent college athlete out of a year of eligibility: priceless
There are some things that money can buy, for evey thing else, there's the NCAA.

Melo and Mayo are friends, he shouldn't have even had to give the money to charity. It's pretty crappy that he couldn't even accept something from a friend...

Keep that on the freaking DL....we'll lose 16 scholarships if the NCAA finds out.

NCAA - Not Consisistent / An Abomination

The NCAA also wants Omaha to build a new stadium at $115M for the College World Series to replace Rosenblatt. They will not come out and say it - instead they choose to hide behind the Mayor Fahey's dress. They said they went hotels around the venue. They may move it to other cities like San Antonio, Orlando, Indianapolis.

The NCAA is like some churches that we all know - it is about the amount money. Miles is well paid.

Objectively I don't think this is a big deal. From an NCAA consistency standpoint it is yet another example of total BS. How is this different than Jiri getting a few meals and some cloths from his host family?

Jiri's host family were contributors to ISU at one point in time, and thus considered boosters....in the case of Melo, I think the assumption here is that Melo is not a booster of USC making it alright. And then also, he's a friend of Mayo's.

Good point. Still seems a bit silly though.
