Somewhere in the U.S.
Thomas - State Champ
Morris - multiple State Champ
Custer - State Champ

Winners

This is exactly right. These three are all the leaders on their very successful teams, and they simply know how to win, even if in some games (like Monte's last game) it means having to score 28 of your team's 46 points. In that regard, their personalities all remind me a lot of Niang. During all of their careers they have only known one thing......winning. Hopefully that will carry over to their time at ISU.

This reminds me of when Johnny O. did one of the fan basketball preseason tours with his players. He would introduce his players and say something entertaining to the delight of the fans in attendance. Anyway he had landed a recruit that had never lost a game in high school ( can't remember anymore whom ) but he introduced him with that accomplishment. He followed that up with "Now that he has decided to play for Iowa State he is going to experience something he has never experienced before. Losing. " Johnny could always laugh at life.

Highlights from the Consortium win - these are pretty crazy, and it includes the Man-Man steal to ice the game.

Note: we recently started recruiting Josh Jackson of Consortium, and of course we were involved with Vince Hunter a while back

I would rather watch Morris play over my lunch, but I guess I can settle for March Madness...

I know rankings don't mean everything but i wonder with all this attention and winning Mr. Basketball if his rankings will go up. Also not from an attitude stand point but by a style of play Man Man kinda reminds me of rondo

Man Man!!!!
Never been so stoked for a recruiting class. Gotta love it when there are so many new faces to the program, leaves so much mystery and intrigue going into the next year and less about expectations.

Ya, I feel like Monte and Thomas will give us Niang-caliber performance by the end of next year. That will set up a pretty darn nice base for 2014-15.

We'll probably take a few lumps next year, but I think by the tail end of the B12 season, we'll be getting giddy about the future.
