Interest as high on his rivals profile. I would like us to get some verbals early this year rather than making us sweat bullets waiting like last year. He seems pretty impressed with what we have to offer which is awesome for such a sought after recruit.

I like this guy already. But he doesn't have an offer from Iowa, so do not want because everyone knows once Iowa offers then everyone else takes their lead. 
If I understand correctly the probation started as soon as ISU discovered the minor phone call issue, self reported and self sanctioned so the two year probation is pretty much over. I think you are confusing probation with post season play bans and other things that cripple a program - this is essentially being under more scrutiny and having larger penalties if there are repeat offenses during the probationary period.
You are making a big deal out of nothing.
