SDW scored 67 on Bubu?!?!?
The game was actually very close. SDW/Thomas's team won by 2 I believe. Bubu and SDW were going back and forth. Bubu got to the lane at will. SDW made threes at will. It was fun to watch

Late December will be a lot of depressing posts. That's just what we do.

Our first conference game will open a ton of eyes, and we will ride the Kool-Aid Wave again all the way into the tournament.

Then we'll fret about our opponent, which is cool, because we have one. We'll play some thrilling games, and probably have a heartbreaking ending, because that's what happens for tournament teams.

Nope. SDW will average 67 a game for the year

Trying to keep myself from too much kool-aid, The one thing that I took away from the CCL tonight was that I am far less concerned about our young guards ability to shoot. Naz, Monte, Sherron, and Thomas were all stroking it from deep. Morris and Naz were guarding eachother. Bubu and SDW were guarding eachother. SDW wasn't just hitting wide open threes. He was hitting step backs and pull ups as well, and he was making it look easy. Haven't seen a shooting performance like that many times

Glad to hear they were guarding each other. Other than a few Drake players, it seems as if the league has alot of lower division college players and/or high school players than ever before. Just trying to not let my optimism get out of whack, so-to-speak. lol

And so starts the CCL summer hype. Even during the McD years we heard about how great our team was going to be based on the CCL and then we get disappointed in January.
I agree we shouldn't get our hopes up based on what we see in the CCL, but McD's problem was poor coaching, not lack of talent. He had his fair share of NBA players to work with.

It's encouraging that SDW scored that many against Bubu. Bubu plays pretty good D. Maybe not great, but pretty good. Chris also stated that Bubu gives good effort in the CCL.

Bubu had no chance of stopping SDW. He has great handles, gets to the rim at will and was hitting everything. Stepbacks, threes, you name.it. Picked Bubu's pocket a couple times and went in for a huge dunk on one of them. Yes it's the CCL but you can tell when someone has talent. He's going to be a good one.
