I am curious why they would play him as a Fr if we have so many talented secondary players infront of him. Curious...

This has to be looked at as a positive. We have a lot of depth and talent it seems at the DB position and if Nigel is going to play, than I think it speaks volumes to the type of talent he is.

Lol, the same guy a bunch of people hated on when he committed may play as a true freshman. Lol at the cf haters. Glad he stuck with us.

I think this speaks really well of how well our coaches are recruiting. He was a two star, with only one or two other offers i think. Gotta love that he comes into Ames and surprises and pushes for a starting spot

Came back to ISU actually. He got fed up with the ******** he was reading on here and verballed to Indiana before flipping back to ISU at the last minute.

So, you are saying the coaches knew something that the "coaches" on CF did not? Did not see this coming at all.:pconfused:

Here's your LJ 2.0, for those of you who keep track of such things.

And when he first committed, didn't even have a profile, let alone two stars. Wound up with an offer from Tennessee, before all was said and done.

Yeah, but it isn't just talent. He also has to be physically ready and mentally caught up as far as the playoff goes. If he is all those things, great. I am just surprised as there has been a lot of hype around the secondary.

Not sure I'm following the comparison to Leonard Johnson, but perhaps you're simply comparing them as players, not their recruitment. LJ was a 3-star who was pretty heavily recruited from the get-go I believe, with offers from the likes of Nebraska and Michigan.

As players. That's why there was new paragraph and an "and", denoting a separate thought.

LJ started as a freshman, and went on to be considered a lock down corner for ISU. Tribune could have a similar career path. Not the same style, but...

I wish you would stop posting. Not a single recruiting site(247,Rivals, ESPN, or Scout) reports a Tennessee offer. So thanks for making that one up.

Do people really think a true freshman that had two offers, a take my ball and go home attitude, and not alot of hype playing without a RS year speaks well to our talent? Thats fine if you do. The Kool Aid man says "Oh Yeahh!"
