So if you belonged to a club, and while out on the course your locker was rifled through and when you got back you found that someone had ripped you off, and you had some buddies/acquaintances who you knew had a tee time the next day, you wouldn't suggest they take some extra precautions to make sure it didn't happen to them?

This butthurt is all about the fact that it happened at Trice and Iowa is calling them on it. If this had happened to the Cyclones at Kinnick and ISU had contacted teams that were coming in you'd love it for the embarrassment it would cause Iowa.

Well, I convinced. Last week I gassed my car up and the clerk told me about a recent drive-off. At the time, I didn't feel the need to contact other area gas stations as well as local media to this awful occurrence. I failed at life.

And it would probably be Iowa fans there also.

No way a Director of football operations takes that kind of action on his own. Barta and ferrentz approved of this measure.

Hold on everyone....
In fairness to Federici, I am confident he also contacts football recruits to let them know that upon joining the football team their kidneys may or may not fail.

I think it would be more like if your locker was burglarized at a club and you proceeded to find the names of all the other club members whom you didn't know, get their information, and call their house. It just seems like overkill and comes across as immature.

Did their athletic department e-mail every female on Campus after the many rapes their players committed? Did they e-mail all potential recruits after the rhabdo incident? Did they e-mail every store in the Coral Ridge Mall to let them know some of their football players were stealing from stores in the mall?

Or did they do this to try and shed bad light on ISU and put ISU in bad blood with their conference? Id say its pretty obvious this guy took the female approach to solving a problem, and tried to stack the deck with people on their side and pit them all against ISU.

But it wasn't you that got ripped off. I'm sure the clerk told the other area gas stations, and I wouldn't blame him.

I'm sure you're awesome at life.

Butthurt? No. This is a non issue, petty theft happens everyday. Iowa choose to make it a big deal. Iowa looks like butthurt losers in this whole situation.

However you look at this you can bet there will be about 10 Ames police officers, State troopers, National Guard troops in those locker rooms from now on. Not surprising this sort of thing happened in today's crazy *ss world and surprising it hasn't happened before now.

The problem is, he could have contacted the other schools if he was really concerned, which I doubt he was, but to tell the media he did it makes him look like a 3rd grader. Hawk fans should be proud that their athletic department employs the mentally challenged.

I get what you're saying. However, in today's world, its pretty obvious that Texas, OSU, TCU and Kansas were going to be informed of this incident via the media, so there was no need for the guy to take his time to send an e-mail and warning them of this. And any person with a brain in their head is going to know that ISU is going to do what they can to make sure it does not happen again.

In fact, I would be willing to bet that JP contacted every AD in the Big 12 to see how they handle their security to see where ISU could do better, and in the midst of that phone call to each AD, probably explained what happened.

I fail to see the problem with this. Some of you need to take your blinders off.
you fail to see the logic in Iowantaking it upon themselves to notify our conference opponents? It is petty crap, guarentee ISU tells everyone they had a theft ad the criminal is at large and while secutity is beefed up watch your crap honestly though. Have never been on an away game in hs or college we werent advised to lock our stuff up even when the doors were locked.
