I think Gopher fans should be less concerned with our coach (who shoved their offer of a private plane up their collective *****) and more concerned of when exactly will their coach follow in Dad's footsteps and get extorted by a woman he banged in a closed Italian restaurant and giving us such headlines as "Pasta Prematura."

I know this was an attempt at sarcasm, but doesn't the reporter work for the Daily and not the athletic department? Really grasping at straws.

I don't doubt he was told this information by coaches with the understanding it was off the record. The media covering ISU basketball are a cozy but competitive group. He wouldn't report it without fear of ridicule or contempt from the rest of the reporters covering the team.

Until this Vaughn matter, I never considered ISU and Hoiberg's operation to be shady. I gave him the benefit of doubt on his halfway house. Now I'm coming around to thinking otherwise. This evident violation just adds fuel to the fire.

Same, it's starting to be more than a coincidence landing all these guys (White, Loucious, Babb, Thomas, *possibly Vaughn, etc)

ISU, no offense to them has very average academics, it isn't in a warm climate on a beach somewhere, it's in Ames which is a small city surrounded by nothingness, it doesn't have a nationally-respected basketball program, it isn't in a strong basketball conference, the facilities, while nice, are by no stretch of the imagination amazing. So what the hell... ($$$$$$$$$$$)?

The censorship over on Gopherhole is hilarious. Anytime I post a retort of their ISU bashing, it is gone within 5 minutes.

Because us being in the final two isn't exactly news. Most have suspected this for awhile now. Hard to down play this reporter while trying to wrong out some credibility at the same time...

Plus any injury that requires surgery is not good.

It most certainly is news...if true.

PS - I'm glad Dean tweeted that. I love to see GH up in arms. If you are worried about a violation then you are wasting calories.

My honest guess is that Dean talked to a GA or a student manager or two and just tweeted this.

The coaching staff has much more important media to talk to then the Iowa State Daily sports writer and who we're recruiting.

I posted that Fred's success is due to a career paved with under the table dealings with student reporters. I didn't mention Minny at all and it got deleted. pooosies.

There are some over there that realize how ridiculous this is. The rest are butthurt because they know they have no chance but can't admit it.

As for gopherhole, that sites just an embarrassment. You have an anarchy over and Hawkeye Nation, a fascist site over at gopherhole, and you have Cyclone Fanatic sitting in the middle of that spectrum.

At gopherhole, they can make anything out of nothing.
