Son of a *****. We were up by 1? That sucks. Not good.

We have no idea the mental makeup of this team. They could fold now that they've lost a game. The next two games are kind of unwinable, even with Kane. If Kane is out, then they are very unwinable. What happens when they are 14-3 and playing Kansas State at home. Kansas State is ranked and will think they can win.

@Texas is un-winnable? What the hell is wrong with you?

This game didn't change my opinion about this team.

We still came back from being down 13 to take the lead. Just couldn't finish this time. Knew we were going to lose at some point. It was just a matter of when and to whom. We will lose again too. Be prepared for that.

Wise words

This is why I really enjoyed the Texas Tech win. Road wins are difficult, we were bound to run into a buzzsaw eventually (OU's 3-point barrage). We have a really good team, some of you need to relax.

I was always going to overreact on the first loss. But I think that we are probably not as good as we would like to believe.

A top 10 team beats an unranked team on the road, period. I am OK with us not being a top 10 team. But 1 loss can easily turn into 5. Back in the dark ages (when Hoiberg was playing) they started out ranked in the top 25 and then sucked it up for a lot of weeks. That could happen to this team. And the whole yelling at each other thing is cute when you are winning, but causes problems when you lose.

And did I mention that Kane is on crutches??? In order to have a shot at Texas (Oklahoma won at Texas and we didn't beat them) we probably need to concede Kansas.

This is a brutal stretch.

Oklahoma had drives under basket and did a fast kick out for behind the arc. Other teams have done it..but I don't see us doing that as much. We rarely have a guy alone beyond the arc...it is frustrating.

Thankfully, highly ranked teams like Kansas have never lost to unranked teams like TCU.

This was a tourney team, basically in the same boat we spent the last two years in. Now they have a well-earned marquee win.

Our season marches on.

Not hacked. Kind of being stupid, but kind of being realistic.

I have known since the Iowa game that the first loss was going to be trouble for me. Until today, you could see a very special season happening, but after that first loss you start seeing all of the warts that are easy to ignore when you are winning. Warts like being way behind Iowa and Michigan and BYU and Boise and UNI. Only one of those teams is any good. You start to wonder if you got lucky in those 4 games and if a long losing streak is possible. And if the team was more lucky than good for all of these weeks. Hell, watching Nebraska, it is easy to see that a good team should beat Michigan by 15 or 20. And Baylor is coached by a terrible coach, should win that by a lot more. And BYU barely beat some ****** team in the WCC or the MAC or whatever terrible conference they are in.

And then you find out Kane is injured. On crutches. With ice.

This all being said, I'll be all in on Monday. But I think we all better be prepared to be sitting at 14 wins for a good long time.

Hate to say it but we probably lost two games today with Kanes injury. Just an awful day. I really don't get the shrugging of shoulders form some people. If Kane doesn't go down then I get it, we lost to a good team on the road but with Kane hurt this game/day hurts tremendously.

I thought I had meltdown problems, I feel great compared to some people in this thread. It's one game, AND it's January AND reported as no break for Kane.
