Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

Here's what happened.

RV watched the game last night, and was overwhelmed by the freedom CFH gives the players, and the calm manner with which he coaches. So he texts CFH last night congratulating him on the win, and says he is just about ready to commit to ISU this weekend.

CFH texts back.....that's great...but hey.....I just scored 123 on Flappy Bird!

This sets RV back for a second, but then when he thinks about it, he is even so much more impressed with CFH that he makes his decision to come to ISU.

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

Vaughn
Morris
Hogue
Thomas
Nadar
McKay
Georges
Naz

That would be a solid 8 man rotation, and we still have one more scholarship to give. A guy like Clark could break into that if he can play the post better than Hogue and Nadar, which I think he can. Custer hopefully will be at least a situational sub guy at the pg spot.

I had a number of people asking for a Cyclone specific gif, so I present you version 2.0:

Need to give credit to Stumpy for this one...

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

I wonder what keeps moving up his commit date? It was sometime in April first, then early March, and now Saturday. The fact he will commit without knowing who will be around at Kansas and Kentucky seems to almost eliminate them. I'm positive it's not UNLV. My guess is that it's either Iowa State or UNC.

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

I believe Roy recently visited him; mid month. Man, Roy has gotten us countless times before and if he does it again

Fred is Roy Williams 20 years ago. Who would you rather play for? Tired old belly putter Roy? Or jet flyin, limo ridin, hole in one and albatross getting young Roy? Fred is the new big swingin **** Roy's time is past.

As exciting as being recruited can be...I would guess it could get to be a drag as well. Lots of pressure put on kids by a lot of different people. I could see a player knowing where he wants to go so he just wants to end the process.

I think Mr. Custer would have issue with your lineup...

EDIT: I see you at least listed him in the following paragraph. All is forgiven ;-)

I know very little about Custer...can he play in that lineup? What spot? Is he a PG only? If so...I just don't see Morris leaving the court next year very much...if at all!

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

Everyone is dis-crediting UNC....but what about UNLV? Yea they started slow this season, but they still put an average NBA player into the #1 slot of the draft and they have the $$$ that we don't. Don't discount the fact that the handler has his own agenda.

Also - sorry to be a downer but RV will not be in attendance this weekend. Findlay plays Friday and Saturday in NV and Rashad will be sweating on the court in his new ISU undies.

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

Especially after last night, how could he look at this roster and not see himself slotting in perfectly? I don't think any other teams will be able to surround him with that many talented players and still let him be "the man" with the ball in his hands the majority of the time.

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

I think Rashad has known where he wants to go for a while. His parents were convinced last night.
