Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

So is this like the football circus every year? RV is going to pick his school this weekend. Is he committed to that school then, and everybody respects his decision, or After this weekend does Minn. and everybody else now contact him in the middle of the night just because the winning school can not get a LOI until the spring signing period?

Not impossible, but much more rare in basketball. Don't see many kids de-commiting in bball.

Flipping recruits is much less common in basketball than football.

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

My guess is that RV is upset that his decision seems to be leaking to some in the media, which is why he tweeted that "Nobody knows." These kids want to surprise people with their decision. I think he's heading to UNLV and just tweeted what he did to drum up interest in his decision. Just my opinion.

On a separate note, look at it this way: If he comes here, enjoy it. We've arrived. If he doesn't, just think how far we've come.

Regardless, to agree with some others on here, if it is UNLV, I just hope that Cyclone fans show who we are and don't embarrass themselves on twitter/CF.

If I was an 18 year old kid getting ready to make the final decision that I've been hounded for years and years about, I would try and mind **** as many coaches, media, fans, and recruiting services as possible.

I've heard this but no one has presented the "why"? Why is this?

I'm just guessing this is the reason, but the typical basketball recruiting class is usually anywhere from 1-5 players as opposed to football which is around 25. It's much easier to stay in constant contact with a few guys as opposed to 25

Were they sexting or cybering?
Why all the hate? I posted something that he said. You can disagree all you want but hating on me for simply positing something from somebody who knows a lot more about the situation than we do seems wrong.

The reason he says nobody knows is cus he doesn't know yet, cus he's waiting to see if we get to 10,000 posts in time

Re: Rashad Vaughn - Announcing Saturday

Not sure "why" but statistics show that it's rare. Who cares why, just know it doesn't happen much.

Go to UNLV and put up 30 a night against inferior competition and play along side your close friends. Or, go to ISU play in the big 12 and struggle. If you want to be 1 and done, take the path of least resistance. Get through the season averaging 30 ppg or so and impress scouts a all year round play Utah State.

O boy, here they come...

At least if he does go to UNLV, Cyclones won't have to hear a whole lot about him next year. At least not as much as if he went to KU, UK, or UNC.

Although UNLV does have a real good class coming in, so who knows they may be next year's SDSU and be #5 in the country.
