Drop from #11 to #17 after last Monday's blowout in Morgantown.

Saw this from Luke Meredith on Twitter. Iowa is #15 and Texas is #19 so it will be a Top 20 showdown at Hilton tomorrow.

Not terrible. Still ranked, and plenty of opportunity this week to maintain or advance.

Seems like a big drop from just one loss this late in the season.

We'll still finish the regular season right around #12, which is right for this team.

I agree. Depending on how things go down the stretch (like Tuesday vs. UT and @KSU), I think we will finish in the 10-14 range.

Our Selection Sunday drama will be about whether we get a 3 or a 4 seed (and who the accompanying 6/5 seed is in our region), which will be a welcome change from the last couple of years.

Two wins this week with one being against the worst BCS team in the country is not going to improve ranking that much. And Texas at home is an expected win.

Wrong. Teams above us lose and we win two = we'll go up. That's how it works.

That's a bigger drop than I guessed but ****'ll buff out. 3 very winnable games coming up for us vs UT, @TCU, vs WVU.

Then if we won @KSU we would likely be at or higher than where we were last week.

I was wrong in speculation thread when I said 15th would be lowest. Guessing I incorrectly gauged Iowa and Virginia, although I haven't seen an official ranking list yet.

16th or 17th seems in line with results.

Maybe expected win in the minds of those that rank teams, but if they've been following the Big12 lately they should know its unpredicatable. Wasn't that long ago when Texas beat KU, I heard gurus claiming Texas was a better team than KU. This is a huge win for us if we can get it, imo.
