My opinion. The chance we land Marvin Clark is less than 50%

Any opinion on our chances is quite irrelevant. It could be 10% or 90% for all we know. Even if it were down to two teams it could be 99% / 1%.

It's rare that an uncommitted recruit would be over 50%. In this case you have K-State (local) with a couple of big name teams getting involved late. We got involved late as well, so it's not like this is any sort of foregone conclusion.

Most uncommitted prospects also don't come out and declare a leader after visiting all but one of the schools on their list either.

No idea what'll happen. KSU been recruiting him longer but ISU has the better basketball future for him. We'll see what he chooses. Hope it's us, but I won't hold my breath.

Recruiting length clearly doesn't matter. Would love Clark here and I think he would succeed at ISU. Fred can make champions out of anyone - come in a 2 or 3 star and leave a 4 or 5 star IMO. That's the key.

Lots of people think he would be a top 50 recruit if he didn't get injured in AAU ball. Imagine the possibilities with that type of talent. Absolute steal this late if we land him.

Not pessimistic. Just a realist. Have you looked at Clark's offer list. Some solid offers from big time programs! Also, I am not so sure he is heavily favoring Iowa State. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I've been called worse, believe me.

Not all of my posts/opinions have been dead on accurate, but if you look at my past...what I have said have been true. Norvelle Pelle being a waste of talent, predicting Melvin Ejim to be a Cyclone great during his 2nd season at Iowa State, and also predicting what transfers Iowa State might be interested in.

Perhaps you haven't noticed, but mjhavlo is probably the most pessimistic poster on here.

I'll go on record and say I don't care what anyone's opinion is on guessing a recruit's final choice. Unless you know the kid the opinion is worthless. If you are right it just means you guessed right.

You know what sucks about life sometimes? Even if you're right about something, very few will remember (or even care) that you were right, and if you try and bring it to their attention that you were right, you just look like a ******.

Idk if I would say Norvelle Pelle is a waste of talent. He is in the NBDL, unless you are calling Lucious, Babb, and other former Clones waste of talent. Did he live up to the hype? Not yet. But not having any college experience and playing in the NBDL Isnt bad.

He did not call Norvelle Pelle a waste of talent. He actually said that Norvelle Pelle was not athletic enough. Seriously.

You're underestimating his powers. A soothsayer like mjhavlo is easy to dismiss, but hard to comprehend. I mean, what are the chances that, as a sophomore, that Melvin Ejim would one day be really good, or not as good as really good? 50/50 AT BEST.

And what about the great Norvel Pelle prediction? How can you explain that one? I'm almost convinced that mj's lack of faith in Pelle actually self fulfilled that amazing prophecy; such is mjhavlo76's powers.

And now, the 3rd book of mjhavlo76 is being written by this Marvin Clark, I would call it a prediction but it's something more, this Marvin Clark TRUTH that mjhavlo76 has seen and can will to happen. Anyone that doubts his powers tell me what are the chances that Clark comes to ISU, or goes somewhere else? 50/50 AT BEST. When Clark commits elsewhere you will all bow to mjhavlo76 the seer of the cosmos and the key to eternity.

Bah! wtf did I just write. Get out of my head MJhavlo76! Get out of my head!!!!!!

I think he's saying that Pelle was a sad case of someone that couldn't get his act together academically enough to play college ball. 2-4 years of college ball probably would have been a great time for him to develop physically as a basketball player, AND as a man. Him bypassing college and even sniffing the NBDL is a pretty good accomplishment and tells me that he might have developed into a full blown NBA player if he had played for Hoiberg.

How many on his offer list are ranked higher than us this year? It's time to realize that we are one of the big time programs (even if we do not have the tradition of a couple of those).

Like Clark is going to consider seriously KSU over ISU, LOL. Next thing someone is going to try to tell me we're going to lose a recruit to a Mountain West school like UNLV. Get real.
