If Marcus Smart doesn't start because of this then I think we win. The whole point is to distract him so he won't play well but if he doesn't start that is even better.

Posted on the facebook page seeing if anyone was willing to print some of the instruction sheets. Three people immediately volunteered. Teamwork makes the dream work.
Signed up. We are now over 450 with over 1000 still invited, however I am pretty sure the invited number is just going to keep growing. Let's see how it jumps over Friday. Also, if we get close to 1000 participating then I am pretty sure you won't have to worry about the "too cool for this" crowd.

Just curious but if you do this during the announcement of Smart before the game than nobody in America will see it because that isn't typically televised. Without going back and treading this whole chain of posts, any plan to do this while he's at the foul line too?
On the free throw flops do it like you said when he gets the ball but then just keep doing it until his final shot. So you are drastically flopping over and over again the entire time he is at the line. It would look like a huge cluster f with all of the students doing it and may prove more distracting than the hand waving. Make those grunts and groans loud!
A KU spoof twitter account tweeted about it, saying "This Marcus Smart Flop Tribute will be the most magical thing to happen in Hilton in over a decade" with a link to the event page.
Obviously, I disagree with it being the most "magical" thing in that time span, the extra attention helps. Event membership moved up to 484 and we've had a lot of posts by KU and OSU fans on the page (all of it positive).

We better pull this off all night. Otherwise with all this hype, it will be extremely disappointing.
I've got around 1500-2000 instruction sheets either printed or yet to be print. 4 flop signs (2 on each end) for the student section to see. A ton of invites out on the event page with a good following. If this doesn't work, it certainly wont be for lack of effort.
This will be great. You have done the planning, now just do a little training right before the game, then let the magic happen. It will become CF folklore. Maybe even transform CAC. Or at least give us a good memory.

I'm slightly disappointed. With this much coverage, Smart has undoubtedly heard about it and will be expecting it now. I almost feel like we shouldn't do it now, just so he's "flinching" the whole time and waiting for it to happen. Like a kid who knows his brother is going to punch him, but doesn't know WHEN. The waiting is the torture.
