I've been enjoying the season from a distance. If I were still Lost in the Woods in Misery, I'd definitely drive up to KC tonight for the game, but I've been out in the Philly area for a few months now. I watch the game live and follow the stats online while trying not to spit my beer on the Macbook when people react to the game online.

In the last couple of days I've noticed a lot of KU and KSU fans get all butt hurt and ****** when Iowa State fans mention Hilton South. If by some miracle we pull off a victory tonight against KU, I would love to hear Cyclone Nation in attendance start chanting Hilton South.

Thoughts?

I don't even know why some call it Hilton south... because of our awesome home court advantage that has gotten us 1 championships.. seems dumb when theirs more KU fans and probably more k state fans as well.

We definitely brought more fans than KSU. And they are in fricking Kansas.

We would have more fans than any other fan base except for KU. And you can't really be impressed with Kansas bring fans to a game that close to their home court.

we don't lose at Hilton though.. i don't really care what other people call it, ive watched us get knocked out early to many times to compare the two.

I was oblivious to college basketball during the big 8.. that would probably explain it.

The entire upper deck in the balcony on the north side is Iowa state fans. We got the extra allotment but stuck up high and out of camera view.

It does go back to Kemper. Just like Hilton in the day, winning games we shouldn't, going farther in the tourney than we should. The last big 8 tourney, we have the trophy. Viva JC Holloway.
