This is not a valid excuse. Go by yourself if you have to!!

Exactly. I went to Dayton by myself (though not as long of a drive) last year. Plenty of Cyclone fans around. And the Ohio State family I sat next to were super nice. The Notre Dame dad and son were ****** bags. But they shut up pretty quick into the game.

Surely, you can find someone.

P.S. Are you bringing the cape and Speedo?

Getting a college kid to spend a grand after they just spent a grand for Spring Break takes some smooth talking. I didn't go anywhere for Spring Break so it wouldn't hurt as much. Cape will probably make an appearance if I go, I don't know about the speedo though...

This is not a valid excuse. Go by yourself if you have to!!

Not gonna lie, while going period would be fun but not knowing a soul in NYC would not be that fun. Yes I could find people but how many are gonna be my age?

I have little doubt that 2015 will be there. He reminds me of the JMU guy who snuck into the UVa huddle!

I've snuck into the Cleveland Cavs locker room and even asked LeBron James a question, posing as a reporter. Got kicked out after I was caught and they confiscated my digital camera with the pictures. It was that or get arrested.

I know there are ISU bars in NYC. A friend has watched the games at one with an ISU flag flying out front. We have to have a few thousand Alum in NYC alone right?

to answer your question, the bar you are speaking of that has the flag flying out front is called Foley's. 18 West 33rd Street between 5th and 6th Avenue. Its about a block and a half from msg so would be the perfect spot to hang out before and after the game. . .

I saw flights out of dsm to NY on hotwire for around $450, Friday to Monday.

How is everyone getting there? What's the most cost effective way? I so a message from the Alumni Association that for $1,500 you can get airfare from Des Moines to Newark Friday am to Sunday pm after the game, ground transportation, two nights hotel but no game tickets (which seemed odd to not include).

Honestly, that doesn't seem like a horrible deal but if there really are flights out of Des Moines for $500 then maybe it's best to book on your own and find a hotel?

Does anyone know what sort of rules NY has for scalping? My group is trying to decide what to do.

It's $500 for the strip of weekend tickets right now on Stub Hub. I think we should wait and buy tickets day of for the Cyclone games.

Any thoughts?

The wife and I are trying to work it out to get there. I'm good to go, but she has to talk to her boss still. Looking at flying out of DSM to Newark Thur-Mon for ~$450. May be able to stay with some of the wifes friends around there and save on the hotel. Hoping there may be a few tix left to be released at 2:30. Cheaper than stub hub that's for sure, but we're willing to pay that if necessary. Really, really, really hoping we get this worked out!!! Can't wait!

You know UCONN is going to bring droves to The Garden. I hope as many of us Midwest Cyclones make it as possible, but every single Iowa State Alum in the NE area better go. I for one already booked my flight from Minneapolis tonight. Staying at the Holiday Inn Express across the street from The Garden.

Go State!

What's the rate for the Holiday Inn Express?

Heading up from Philly. Still need to get tickets and not sure what the best option is.

If we make it to Sunday I think I'll be hopping on the Amtrak from DC. Wouldn't you think that people of the two losing teams will sell their Sunday seats for cheap with their team out?

We have one of our 4 charity fundraisers on Saturday so travel isn't a possibility for me. I told my boss on Friday that if they made the Final 4 I was headed to Arlington no matter what.

Fyi. I bought a ticket in section 227. Like 535 for both sessions.

Trying to find another student to go... it is proving difficult. We're pretty much guaranteed to get tickets through the University too. There ain't no way there is 200 students who can make it.

flame me for asking but is there anyway a student can buy multiple tickets and i'll buy them from you? I don't have the $750/per ticket but can find a flight and hotel for cheap
