Why would Iowa State want to schedule tough games when they won't have one of their best players available? They are already playing @iowa. I don't want this team playing much tougher competition until then.

I don't agree with this sentiment. We have enough talent to go out and play better teams without McKay.

If ISU is supposed to be a Top 15 team then there aren't many teams in the country that ISU fans should consider a tough game. There are a lot of teams between "tough game" and South Carolina. That's all I am saying. They were really awful last year.

I completely agree. We "only"(I know I know) Kane and Ejim. But we will still have BDJ and Nader. Also throw in Custer and Georgio. The biggest thing is all the RETURNING experience. Last year Morris, Thomas, Long, and Hogue were all new/first year starters. They will be improved and have a better chemistry with each other. That's not even factoring in Niang or our HC that just keeps getting better and better.

Probably missing a few cupcakes that we know of.

We could end up playing 3 SEC teams next season.

The GA Southern game is a better one than the name sounds like, but that's not an impressive slate of opponents.

True. It's a lingering deal. It only takes a marquee game or two to make it look very solid. Doesn't have to include the whole top ten, but somebody recognizably good would be a nice thing and a good test.
