There's no roll of the dice here. This was our 13th scholarship. It was earmarked for another post transfer that would have to sit anyway. Either that or we bank it. So any production from this kid is gravy.
If he's the real deal, then obviously huge upside. If he sucks or can't adjust to the US, he's back in Europe this time next year.
I see no downside risk.
Just those 2 for now. Not a bad start! So recruiting gurus…I always think of Hoiball classes as who are the new players eligible, so this likely ends our latest class at: Custer, Tsalmpouri, McKay, BDJ, Nader (which is effectively a top 5-15 class imho)
If Cooke were to sign the next class of eligible players so far is? Cooke, Darien Williams, others ?
I like this kid's video, but put me in the boat of this guy truly being a big roll of the dice. He could develop into a stud, which would be the equivalent of CFH pulling a rabbit out of a hat, or he could be a complete bust. Truthfully, I wouldn't be surprised either way. With that said, like other posters have already mentioned, if there is a year to take a flyer on a guy like this, this is the year to do it, so I'm all in for it. Shoot, if he didn't sign, it is likely his scholarship would just go unused anyway and if he doesn't pan out, I'd say there is a decent chance he doesn't stick around all 4 years using up that scholarship either.
for all of you wondering how to say his name

Now Georges can shift to the small forward position with Giorgtio and McKay and Hogue.
