Any crappy comedy.

I am a sucker for crappy comedy where I don't have to think and just sit there laughing at lame jokes that are predictable.

You mean that movie that got good reviews, made a ton of money, and has a sequel coming next weekend? That movie that everyone hated?

No kidding. No clue why 21 Jump Street is mentioned by anyone. I disagree with Blue Velvet too. I'm sure some hate it but it's pretty well received overall.

Mine would be, and I hate admitting it, Lady In The Water by M. Night.

Starship Troopers and Pleasantville

I loved Pleasantville, and it had a great soundtrack! I have the DVD.

Mine are mostly ones that people hate, like The English Patient, because they're seen as boring. My husband won't even attempt to watch Shakespeare in Love with me, even though it's a fantastic movie.

Another really divisive one I love is Magnolia.

Ahh Magnolia. Quite possibly my favorite movie ever and one I wish more people would see. Brilliant.

It has a good cast also. I always watch it, atleast some of it, when it's on. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120789/fullcredits?ref_=tt_ql_1 Paul Walker way down the list.

I love PTA so much. I'm with you, it's in my top 5 movies ever, such amazing acting. People always just get told, "It's weird, there's the frog thing" - and so then people don't want to watch it. Also just an amazing soundtrack combining Aimee Mann and Supertramp, which is bizarre.

I'll probably get killed for this but...I didn't think Crystal Skull was THAT bad.

Yes it was.

I'm a person who is guilty of having too high of expectations in movies, and am often let down - and that's my own fault. Particularly in highly anticipated, event type movies like Indy or Star Wars and the like.

But dear God that movie was awful.

I think I went thrown the 7 stages of Grief in that movie alone.

Paul is really good in that film. I don't even love Tobey Maguire, but he's really good in it. William H. Macy is one of my faves, and he's always good. It even has Jenny Lewis before she joined Rilo Kiley.

I love Joan Allen in that movie.

Jersey Girl (Ben Affleck)
-Jennifer Lopez has a very small part in it and this was right after the fall out of Gigli and their relationship as well, but it's a Kevin Smith movie, touching story, George Carlin, etc. Many wrote this off before they saw it.
