Yes. In both instances, he was pulled over because of a broken tail light and lack of a safety flag. In other words, if he wasn't super cheap/lazy , he could have completely avoided all of this while still driving his moped drunk.
He should be embarrassed simply for riding around on a moped.
Basically the whole football team and basketball team ride mopeds. I've always wondered if that is some sort of perk. At least our team players come rolling in with four wheels, pick up trucks, and booming systems!
Funny how it takes this to get him suspended, not the owi.
OK, I don't follow Iowa that closely, but 'suspended' is a smushy term there, and it is with ISU as well. I believe Matt T. is currently 'suspended indefinitely' as well...it's essentially the equivalent of saying 'he's in trouble, but we're not announcing his punishment yet'. So he might well have been suspended indefinitely from the first one...again, maybe you know differently, I don't....anyway, the thing is...'suspended indefinitely' really doesn't mean much, and it definitely isn't as harsh as it might sound.

To be fair, it's not that they consider this to be a more serious crime. But the timeline and general pattern make this a much bigger deal than if it had happened in a vacuum.

I thought that said owl at first and I was really interested in what he did with an owl that would warrant a suspension.Funny how it takes this to get him suspended, not the owi.
I don't even think a moped would run in a vacuum due to the lack of combustible oxygen.

The indefinite suspension didn't happen until today, which would lead one to believe that if something didn't happen yesterday, his incident in April would have gone unpunished. Generally you won't wait months before suspending someone for an incident.
